Attempting to make fiberglass rims
Used a mountain bike rim to shape the plug and them made the mould from that.
Can not lay up the wheels yet as the weather is to cool for fiberglassing

I will post updates as I build the yacht. It will take a couple of months to build in my spare time. The cost to date has been $ 130.

G'day Vic,

Your wheels look interesting - let me know how they go as I'd like to finish a yacht I started back in '02 after the worlds just for the hell of it.

Cheers.

Bloody Hell Vic, No objection to your photos of your project showing your other fine machinery in the background (just to make us all envious) but you could have at least scrubbed the red mud off the tyres and the stains off the exhaust pipe and muffler.

My bike history:- First Bike in 1968, BSA 650 Gold Flash (instant death plunger rear suspension), Honda 250 (the one after the Nightmare "Dream"), 1967 ex NSW Police Trumpy Tiger 100 (paid $475), 1973 Kwaka 900 Z1 (only bought it because I couldn't find a BSA 750 Rocket 3 new at the time in 1973) rode it for 24,000 miles and sold it in mint condition for $1,450 (would get 10 times that for it today), last bike Yammy XS1 (now a collectors item) frame successfully modified by me to eliminate the instant death wobbles, with a TX front end and a 2 into 1 exhaust that produced the sweetest sound you could ever hope to hear from a twin cylinder motor bike engine. This bike is in Perth, still operational and under the care of my best mate. Our strategy is to keep it for the next 50 years and then sell it back to Yamaha for $1,000,000 or more as the item that saved their company.

Cheers Cisco.

(Was hard to pick from photo but thought it might have been battery acid splash on the exhaust. My Tiger 100 used to get it. Lucky you it is only dust.)

At a very rough guess it looks like about $120,000 worth in todays values. Indian Chief I put at $20,000 but I am probably way under there.

I will be back up for work and will be out the lake on 16th and 22nd november if any of you guys can make it
Cheers
