Wasn't Albatross moored on the Brisbane River for a while? Its interesting to see her below the water line. I've often wondered how she sailed, with that tripod mast. It might look unusual, but it could be structurally efficient (light and strong), does away with stays, provides built-in rat-lines and allows for a vertical fuller on the main. It sounds like a bunch of bright ideas, but does it work?

the only sail I've ever set is on this boat .
any where from 45 degrees is useable.off the bow.
as it draws 1200mm
any where aft is all just push
so as gentlemen sail with the wind , it does ok.
Its more about the living than the sailing .
in that department it works.
