They do not like the product???
It is just a little kid going around a friend. You are reading too much into this.
Yep taking the piss. Tres european to go too close to people, especially on kites over here. They are very well know for it, no idea of personal space. Comes from really crowded beaches compared to here. All good.
Not looking forward to the day I paddle out at my local and there are half a dozen groms pumping out through the break catching everything in sight.
Warning - long video ahead.
The more I use the Wing Surfer, the more fun I'm finding it. At first I wasn't sold at all for DW'ing. But I'm getting better and starting to really get it worked out.
Today was SW and super gusty. 8-16kn and shifting to WSW. Riding an old Raptor 116 and the Thrust Surf XL.
I think I know why everyone else puts the leash on their wrist now (watch my stuff up).
enjoy, all Wing Surfer DW'ing on the Foil.
Sick! If that doesn't sell these wings nothing will.
The dream of Foiling in the Wind without dragging around christmas trees worth of gear. Errrrr maybe just one christmas tree.

A lot of that is also the camera angle. You actually don't really notice your arms are up.

Ah, and there it is. The overwhelming positive vibe of the forums. Not everyone will be a fan DW, all good, but no need to be rude .

Interesting request. I'll be on the Sunshine Coast Thursday to Saturday, then in Brisbane Saturday arvo til Sunday. Probably drop into the Goldy Sunday evening before heading home Monday. Always keen for a session.

I don't understand the negativity either - nobody's holding a gun to anyone's head to make them buy one

LOL, it's all good. It's always fun watching new sports come about. I'm probably getting too old to froth out as hard as I do, but I just get too excited. I enjoy sharing my journey as kooky as it may seem in the hope that it helps others that are interested (partly because it's my job, but also because I love playing in the ocean and want to share) especially in these early stages. I am lucky that I get a hold of all the fads early, have an opportunity to try and somewhat master them as they grow/start off.
I remember it was all similar when Kiteboarding came about. "It'll never take off", "it's dangerous", "it'll be banned". Then is was SUP, "it'll never take off", 'it's dangerous', "it'll be banned". Then Foiling, "it'll never take off", "it's dangerous", "it'll be banned". As I said, I'm been lucky enough to be at the front of all of these sports early, and shared the stoke to everyone and anyone I could, and it's great to see so many people out there today still loving these excellent water sports that did not get banned, and have taken off (BTW, not claiming I had any great part in the growth).
Whilst I know the Wing Surfer is not for everyone, I strongly believe it will take off, and is super fun and accessible. Possibly the more "Hardcore" guys might find it a bit soft or fluffy, and that is fine. A lot of people (probably the majority) will really enjoy this, and it will get them out on the water more often and expand their experience with the ocean even further, which is awesome!
Personally I am really enjoying the Wing Surfer, a lot! And yes it may be a little kooky at times as we are all still learning and exploring in these early stages. But so did all those other sports in their early stages. Every session I am getting more and more confident, learning more control and finding new ways to expand what the Wing Surfer can ultimately do. It is a very exciting time in my eyes.
Watch this space.
Frothing
Ride safe,

Nowt kooky about sharing the stoke and sharing your knowledge and experience with those of us further behind the curve.
This was a record of session 37 in my attempt to learn to SUP foil surf. I am a pretty average SUP surfer and my progress in SUP foiling in the UK has been very slow but steady. I am a weekend warrior but in the North East of England the conditions for foiling are often a long wait apart. Nonetheless I am really loving SUP foiling. I feel like that teenage kid learning to surf all over again. I have only met a couple of others in the region trying it out but we are all loving it. It was 12 months ago that I was getting my first tows behind a jet ski and I am finally getting some OK rides which I am super stoked about. In this session (37) I felt like I made a leap in progress but also by pushing it I had my biggest wipeouts. I cannot wait for the next flight! Here is a video of some of the footage:
Nice. Can think of a few spots on the North Yorks coast that I want to take the foil out to next time I'm up visiting family up there.
