Not in the same league as these other videos but I really enjoy putting the footage together and this was the best sup foil conditions I have had yet in the North East of England. I hope you enjoy it.

This is something we get in Florida in the summer. It is basically just an algae bloom that when agitated glows. Fun to fish in because it illuminates feeding fish. Fun to run the boat next to sandbars and watch small glow in the dark barreling waves. Really neat watching dolphins surf in the boat waves when they glow. These guys did some other fun stuff on the Lift Efoils.

Cool , you can see flow over the foils and where the drag and vortices are created. We sometimes get a similar occurrence in OZ too but It doesn't happen very often.

Pumping to the beat. Sometimes it is as much fun going back out as it is coming in.

A bit of fun on the Hover 110 and Jet 1240HA

Ride safe,

Im sending that video to qld boating and maritime ........no lifejacket, too close to other vessels, speeding in 4kn zone,
no wake zone infringement ( might be able to argue the last point ) haha , you're having too much fun Piros , only fair to try and ruin it for you !

Kill joy has to be one .....but I've already been to Harbours & Marine it's zero wake , not classified as a Vessel so no restrictions ( in Qld very different NSW) The efoil Flite school tours also operates from a 6 knot area here on the Gold Coast , this is a commercial approved operation . So I'm all good and I cruise past the water police all the time in 6 knots areas and they just wave.

Ha You've got an answer for everything ! Looks very cool on the mirror smooth water, talking about rules, I was doing a DW on weekend about 1k out on a 12k run and the lifeguards came out in their IRB to see what I was going on and I didn't have a lifejacket, I'll have to check NSW rules to see what a SUP with wing comes under.
My biggest problem was a mother whale with calf , She obviously knew I was near even though my foil is silent because she leapt out of the water and crashed down heading in my direction breathing heavy. This is the second time this has happened to me ,and in the same area.......bloody whales are becoming a pest.

Great Video. Agree with TC " The faces lit up, the eyes lit up when people get it". If the whole world could experience 20seconds of foiling. The whole world would be Foiling.

And if the whole world starts foiling then it ends up like surfing .........crowded,hassling, dropping in etc etc , Then you go DW,cause doesn't matter how many do that it will never be crowded !

GoPro finally released editing software for the MAX 360.

I've been trying to get people to foil bigger waves with me for 2 years. Almost no takers. People don't even want to talk about it.

Here was a 'buttery' day at Mavericks. 11 ft @ 14 seconds. 15 to 18 foot faces. Last wave of the day. GL140 stays down but you need a bigger board 7' 4" to get into the waves. The benefit of glassy surface is easy paddling. The downside is no bump chop to knock you into the bigger waves. Just upgraded to GoFoil NL series wing. More to come:

Bit more close up footage of the girl on the SUP and the one on beach would be good.

This one is the AXIS 910 high aspect with 400 stab, short fuse and 75cm mast. I also have the 820, 860 and 1020 but am on the 910 85% of the time when I'm in the surf.

Looks like the best way to recover from shoulder problem Piros , a few questions please,So when your riding the wave, do you back the power right off ? does the prop free wheel ? How much drag if you switch power off while on the wave ? How much different is the feel to riding SUP with normal foil ?

Yes they do free ride quiet well it's just hard adjust from the high thrust of the motor to glide of the waves . The boards are super heavy as well this one is 28kg they go up to 40Kg . So a bit of a handful to control free gliding but it is possible . You drop power right off and the Lift & Fliteboard efoils now have folding props .

I had this question in response to one of my videos on YouTube foil surfing the inside of Mavericks. How would you answer this question?

"Quick question, my daughter and I have riden out there (Mavericks Lagoon) during a storm with 8 foot swells and it was pretty choppy. We ride 2 Lift Efoils(4'4" 110 wing and 5' 150 wing with collapsible props). I noticed that you had foot straps in another vid you posted. Are you riding with foot straps for this ride and what size wing do you use? We are from Reno but are trying to time a trip where the swells are 11ft+"

I would have no idea how these boards would idle into a big wave. Much less what happens when you get run over (all your stuff breaks). The leash would have to be Monster, weight of board . . . separation. Add to this it is never just 11 ft. Usually +/- 50%. So you get 6 to 16 ft. . . .

You'd be surprised how tough those Lift efoils are. I have seen my mate get absolutely destroyed in some decent surf multiple times plus it was shallow and just gets up and rides away (that's him in the pic on a Lift efoil) With Lifts new folding prop and High aspect wings they have amazing free glide but it's not easy to get used , very different to what you are used to free foiling on a 60+ pound board. We are also starting to tow in from the efoil . He uses a front foot strap only . I never strap .

Piros is a good man :), he took this photo of me at Surfers.. Theres quite a few vidos of foiling eFoiling and Kitefoiling waves on my youtube - VVKitography (Sirv11) - but heres a few ..

with Piros, Marty and John
with my mate Payam, drone pilot extraordinaire
and a few saucy crashes for you -

eFoils are not flat water machines only, never for me. I don't have a surfer's background as I grew up in central Africa LOL. But I've been riding Kitefoils on the Gold Coast since Oct 2013 and I bought the first eFoil ever and received it in April 2018, 2 days before Kay and Laird got theirs LOL, I love rubbing that one in :).. it the efoil on the photo above, 30 months old and never missed a beat or had issues, talk about RELIABLE !!!

I run eFoilgc.com and teach hydrofoiling on eFoils. It's the fastest and safest way to learn to foil - go onto the video galleries and have a look. Shoot me a line, I'm happy to clear some myths..

Great videos, answered a lot of questions just from watching that. But still have a couple.
Does the prop aerate in the foamy water and lose drive ? ( not that it matters too much, just curious)
How long is the mast ? and how much in Aussie dollars would that 5' one in the vid cost ?
Listened to the podcast with Nick from Lift , obviously a quality product, Maybe on bigger waves the prop could turn generator and recharge the battery haha.

Sure mate..it doesn't lose drive, but it's like driving through corrigated iron or a cattle barrier. It's not where you want to be but totally doable once you get the hang it.
My mast is version one, 31".. they now come standard on version two with a 28"
The boards come in a 16k, through me - PM me.
Do I regret having bet on the winniong horse - HELL NO! .. I'm having the time of my life. Being the oldest owner of a board, as in having bought the 1st production one, getting 2 HOURS out of my battery with a folding prop and HA wing allows me to be confident about what I say. I don't do bull**** marketing, I speak from experience - watch my reviews..

Enjoy and keep firing questions, I'm happy to help
