Bit of fun in the last swell chasing some big fat ones. This is combination of the last few tow sessions . Tested out the new Gofoil GL80 & Axis K-600 both incredible wings .
K-600 is a tiny kite wing yeah? Speed to burn.
That looks absolutely ridiculous fun. Ive got to get a ski.
Scratch that- I've got to talk a mate into getting a ski.
Yes the K-600 is a kite wing , incredible to tow with it's just so smooth . The other tow crew were on a Armstrong 800 that looked really good as well but didn't get a chance to try .
Out of all the foil sports I recon towing puts the biggest smile on ya dial.......long fast rides with big crashes, Piros you would have to point the camera at yourself laughing when guy ate ****.
Here's a quick edit from Sunday's session. Playing with editing.
This was all one wave/2x waves pumping out/ 2-4-1's/
Riding the Hover 110 and Jet1240HA with 85cm mast.
Very nice JB.. It looks so smooth..
Like a hot knife through butter..
Happiness is a high aspect foil..
^^^^ more than that, a constant sight from sailing of various kinds is albatross, pelicans and gannets running the face of waves in the compression zone of the wind. I've always wanted to do that.
Foiling swell and waves and chop is about as close as we're going to get to that, and that is well demonstrated in that video.
We have been doing a bit on the Gold Coast on our prone boards in the Southerlies such a fun way to surf and go downwind.
The tides must have been crazy high for them to do that at Kewalos. I've scraped my fins coming in there too many times to count.
