Anyone got their new flow yet? Interested in how they compare to the flash and old flow.

I enjoy both of the above in different conditions and for different reasons... but probably enjoy and ride the flow more to be honest.

Interested to hear feedback on the new one and if it's an improvement or a change in direction.

You must be pretty close to having this in your hands. Any updates?

Is there a bit of a step deck to the rail or just your rail saver reflecting the light?

First session on the 8 ft 5 custom / 124 ltr and it's all good news. Conditions were a bit average but a few bombs came through during the session which showed this boards potential.

Slightly less stable than my 8/7 Flow but only slightly best thing is that the Casey Flow is so fast and turns on a sixpence, got a couple of beautiful cutbacks when the board just pivoted round on its tail. Bottom turns were smooth, prob because of the super fine drop rail and for some reason I seemed to be able to get right back on the deck pad without much effort ???? This doesn't usually happen

Early days but one very happy customer

Very easy to throw around
Super responsive and verst fast
Paddles fine , surfed a very sucky reef bubble and was great taking off on a standing start
Quobbas just add additional speed
Its the Red Rocket

Nugdam it's quick, very quick. Very flat entry concave wise and seems to paddle into waves really easy, plenty of nose rocker so you can paddle fast and at 90 deg to the wave without fear of burying the nose

Not yet Dave, yesterday was the first session, Rob's fins worked great though, I guess he knows a thing or two ??. I'll experiment who's a small centre though and see how it goes

looks great ,ok I won't take any notice of your writing on the rail then ..i could ride this board then ..I'm thinking 30.5 for me though ,
i put off my order for 6 months ..due to $ . .but i'm liking your slightly smaller measurements ,could be a good thing. your first impressions on the board are usually right ..its a winner .... thanks for all the photos ...

I guess just a update in design. These have more rocker, stepped rail, different tail. So its very different to the original flow.

The new rails are way easier to turn on ,and don't seem to grab ,just comparing my 8,7 flow to my 8,7 placid ,also my acid more rounded rails .
The older flow is still a great board ,but its when you get the rounded rail in choppier and stepper waves you appreciate the rails ...extra rocker kick might be a bonus too ..as i've nose dived mine many times .old flow is still available on request mike ,like all the older models ,nobody buys acids anymore ... its board evolution .

Ridden mine fir three shirts sessions so far and have been chased off today by two great whites at Northbeach. So far it's all good, loving it and so happy with the purchase. Super smooth and amazes me how quick it pivots off the tail during cutbacks. All good.

Can anyone compare the flow, placid and acid to the Speeed.
was in way overhead surf yesterday on a 8.2 Speeed and would love to have had a bigger board.
there is an 8.5 Speeed available here in South Africa but that may be too much of the same.
love some advice. 70 kg

Hi tannaman

I answered you in a PM.... it was rather lengthy and I didn't want to disrupt this thread
