Went for a midweek dawny at my local on the last day of Autumn, pretty close to perfect but coldish conditions.

I was the only one out - me and a very friendly seal. I'd rate the morning as one of the best sessions I've ever had. Big, clean and lonely.

When the sun started to kick in a small group of older - 60+ goaters joined me and maybe one or two mal/short boarders also joined in the fun. There was no stress, no problems - stacks of good A frames for everyone to enjoy.

What spoilt the morning was when I headed back to the carpark, I saw a few cars and one had an anti sup sticker on his van. F'cnk retard.

Obviously, he was one of the peeps out there in the surf, I could have f'cked this guy up big time if I wanted and I was that way inclined. Instead I just decided to hang around, wait till the coast was clear and gently prize off his manhood sticker off his van.

That sort of attitude is out of line - i don't think anti sup stickers on cars help anyone.

I'm writing this so I can get others thoughts on what they would do.

I felt whoever the person was that I was sharing a special occasion with, on the last day of Autumn, offending me on a personal level.

I didn't know him or he didn't know me, didn't talk, didn't ever get in each others way.

Therefore, I took it upon myself to go into his personal space - as he offended my personal space - and I took it upon myself to rip his f'ckn silly sticker from his van, gently of course - so as not to cause any damage or remove any further corrosion to his nissan sh'tbox!

If I was rich enough to own a Porche Cayenne I would have taken great pleasure in lining myself up in a pothole behind his car and kicking in some revs, which would have the effect of throwing up small stones that would have pierced his rear window.

I would have preferred to do that, but I don't think I can't afford a V8 Porche Cayenne.

You know what Adolf? There are heaps of dickheads out there and you need to let it go. Don't join in their misguided nonsense.
When I came to the Sunshine Coast 25 years ago there were stickers provided by a Noosa Surf Shop deriding long boards. Now that shop makes money selling them.
The fact that the guy didn't say anything to you in the water means that he is a sheep following some new fad as an ANTI SUPer. Did you enjoy your surf? Sounds like it. Go paddling and forget the rest. ET.

I reckon you're being a bit precious about it, the guy had a sticker on his car, you said your self he was fine in the water, And you admitted you got heaps of waves and had fun so who really cares. If your offended by a sticker you must be offended easily. Think you're taking it all a bit personally

And the guy with the sticker is a dick 2 but atleast now he has a reason to hate you, you ****ed with his personal property.

I have a mate who works for Quantas and flyies all over the world looking for stupid stickers to stick on my car, every now and then I have to have to have a quick look around to make sure he has'nt struck again. But as for anti SUP stickers I feel sorry for the poor demented fool,he obviously has no friends and very low self esteem and is trying to meet other like minded people.I wouldn't worry to much he probably hates himself too.

Two friends went to sup a reef on the south coast last week and were warned off.
Apparently sup riders cars have been defaced with 'F off Sup' etc written in wax on the panels.

I mean, at least it's only wax but the MSG is still that sups are not welcome at this place which is an absolute load of bullocks.

I had a guy in the same area on a longboard tell me last week that they were his waves and not mine. What a tool. Just laugh it off and feel sorry for them flapping around like retards. I do.

I'm 100% with Billboard, what gives you any right to touch another persons car?

Oh and such a big man about it too, in your own words "wait till the coast was clear..." obviously a tough guy. You will vandalise a persons car in secret, but don't have the guts to confront someone you say offended you on a personal level?

Then you come on here looking for people to support your vandalism. Might be time to grow up a bit.

This is just a random situation that happened to me, and how I reacted at the time. I wasn't going to hang around a car park until the guy got out - couldn't be fagged, I have responsibilities, things to do, places to be. I did what I did and shared my indignation.

I didn't write this to look for support, I asked what you would you do?

Instead of whining about it - tell me what you would do - you grown up, friend of jesus, fence sitting, toe rag twit!

I've got a confession I have to make:

I only come on to this forum after I've had at least one bottle of wine - and then I let loose with all the things that have been troubling and bugging me during the week. I'm kinda, sortof sorry if I cause offense. It usually takes me a day or two to hop back on here and then I usually cringe about what I wrote. But generally I have a bit of a giggle and will do it all again in a week or two.

I'm sorry aus301 for calling you a friend of jesus, toe rag.

Not paying out on you, but the Surfershane is too obvious. I surf! It is also the handle I use on most sites.

I dragged anchor in Tuesday nights extreme weather ending up between moored boats. I trashed the back/stern of the one in front of me and my front/bow in a major way. Had I let go a bit the hard angles of my steel stern probably would have sank the fibreglass boat behind me. Had I let go totally I could have gone under a big cat sinking us both. Anyway, if my boat would have gone up on the rocks just removing it would have cost more than the current damage.

It was a bad case of picking the best of evils. I am feeling pretty upset about the whole thing including the damage I caused to the other yacht. No wonder I wanted to beat that little prick lifeguard to a bloody pulp when he singled me out for a hard time. As in the other post, thank f#ck I could not find the stairs!

I still think its funny that people on short boards, mals or what-not decide to pick fights and arguments with people wielding 7 foot long carbon fibre/bamboo poles!

Bit silly really isnt it. One day someone on a SUP will go postal on some ignorant person who is anti SUP . . . . . funny: yes!!!
In our best interest as a community: probably not lol

I have said this before. The big advantage of a SUP is that you can easily paddle away from the fools that sometimes surround us. They won't dissappear but we can.
There has and always will be issues in the surf. just like on the roads. That is because we are part of a society. Unfortunately, to many people surfing (in it's various forms) is a trend or a cool thing not a lifestyle. A true surfer would let the fools have their fun in their silly ways and find his fun away from them.

Agreed... Not very tough doing it on the sly. If you were really that "offended" you should've waited for him & talked to him about it. Maybe the fact that you all had a good hassle free surf together may have been enough to change the blokes thinking about SUPs & you could've had a beer together.Or you could've just accepted his right not to like you & gone home without being a vandalizing Derek!!!

At Merimbula the local suppers drive around with anti Sup tickers on their cars , I even got one stuck on my unit door and thought it hilarious. I peeled the sticker off and put it on my laptop , still there today.

All tongue in cheek to me , the best anti Sup sticker I've seen was a Double Island Point last year , F*CK OFF SUP (no graphics) in amongst all his mal stickers.

Tend to agree with the others about peeling a sticker off , I'm more of the add a sticker type
