Can't believe Teagree hasn't chimed in yet, must still be in shock on the floor with the two Jenson brothers being top 10!

Great race! Epic surf! I had the worse possible start ever! Last to get out the back I think. Had to bust my butt the whole way playing catch up.
Ended up 6th too on offical results so pretty happy considering how bad I started.
Jake killed it! So happy for him.
Jacko had his usual no luck race hahaha.

The sets were gnarly! If u got caught inside it was so hard to get out of the sweep.

Everyone that did elite bop today deserves a big pat on the back!

Long beach run transitions too.

X angie

Jacko who?

Was sitting pretty good on the first lap caught the wave with about 40 other guys all on a line for 1st but as with these great BOP races **** happens and Jamie took me out which is where everything started to go down hill. Bop is bop and **** happens we are more stomed on how good jake went as ot was so close and even Ang who went from dead last to 6th spot. 4 aussies in the top ten was pretty solid I recon!!

Jacko

congrats Aussies... JAKE's got a bright future didn't realise he was only 19 been on the verge of a big win now for 12 months. so close today.. Kelly and Linc massive efforts.. they really prove they are some of the best surf bop races around.

Pete you said boothy finished 19th.. his name isn't on the list at all?
Thats huge effort for a guy that is so new to the sport..

Marathon Race tomorrow.. Hopefully You (Jacko) , travis and beau are closer to the pointy end..

just read on Supracer that he may have been taken out when Kai and Conner were going at it….sounds like those 2 need to get in the ring, have it out, and leave it there….

This will be interesting to see how it plays out. Connor did pretty much the same thing at Huntington and in his post race interview said "we all at the same level now and you have to do what you have to do." So he wasn't shy about it either.

is this the level of competitiveness the sport is coming to?

There is a photo sequence on sup-racer showing how Connor cut back into Kai and ended up taking himself and Kai out......I'm not a big fan of rules but deliberately taking someone out because they're returning a favour from a previous race (Huntington) is bad form in my book. Perhaps there should be a gentleman rule that you have to try and keep your line to some extent and that deliberately forcing someone off the wave/causing a crash is not on.

Not sure what Connor was thinking, but if he expected that crashing into Kai would not possibly ruin his own race then something is amiss. Serious case of red mist.

As karma would have it Connor didn't recover as well from that as Kai did......

According to their blog feed, it was Kai who started it by trying to force Conner off the shoulder. So much for Karma.

Funny, it was never close to being synched up for me. It was driving me nuts. A sucky Surfline cam which should be within seconds of real time and a blog feed which was nowhere near. I guess beggars can't be choosers...
