Excellent. Lycra onesie like the vicco boys it is then.

Most of you guys in Qld don't know Kieran yet. Please don't encourage him to dress up. Next minute Peasey will be adding a fancy dress category in both 12'6", 14' and 13'1". I know there will be at least 2 starters.

know its a week out but looking at the breeze charts it looks really good. the best wind- sse at hopefully 15 knots with the swell the same direction. just about perfect for a alley/talley dw run.

Hi All

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PLEASE NOTE COURSE CHANGE

Due to the recent incident involving a boat and a surfer in Currumbin Creek mouth (Alley) last week, MSQ (Marine Safety QLD who authorises our waterways application) has strongly urged us to change the start of the race whilst the State Government and associated authorities investigate the incident.

We have been advised to use Lacey's Lane as the new starting point where we will set a buoy approximately 800 meters off shore to round after a beach start. There is no disadvantage to anyone as the course path did have each competitor to negotiate Lacey's Lane originally.

PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGES
Registration and competitor check in - PALM BEACH PARKLANDS (aka Pirate Ship Park)
8:30am - 10:00am

Race Briefing - PALM BEACH PARKLANDS (aka Pirate Ship Park)
10:15am

Race Start - 10:30am
Same course as previous finishing in Tallebudgera Creek.

Just a reminder to all that are competing in Saturday's Creek to Creek Race........

IMPORTANT
Every competitor must be wearing a Leg Rope and be securely attached to their board at all times.

The only time you will not be wearing it is when you hit the sand for a run to the finish line and in the beer tent!

Hi all,

IMPORTANT
Latest update for Creek to Creek SUP Race.

After carefully watching and checking the charts over the past 24 hours, myself and our safety committee have deemed our original route from Currumbin Alley (Lacey's Lane) to Tallebudgera unfavourable for racing.

We do understand that some of you are avid and confident paddlers but we are about 100% safety to all participants.

All times will remain the same as per schedule, but venue for both Start and Finish will be Kevin Gates Park (Tallebudgera). We do apologise for any inconvenience to competitors and interstate visitors.

VENUE: Kevin Gates Park (Awoonga Avenue, Tallebudgera)
TIME: 8:30-10:00am Registration and competitor check-in.
START: 10:30am

Cheers
Peasey

But Pete Dorries was still the fastest 14' Overall!!! (Sorry Rhino, you come in 2nd).

Sorry for no results list yet, but there were a few problems with times/placings for some of the non-placegetters, that it's taking some time to resolve! I'm trying to get as much corrected as possible, and back calculate overall times/placings based on handicapped start before posting a full list.

In the meantime, here's some stats on the entry numbers for each category for anyone whose interested.

Thanks Peasey and the SUPSA crew for an awesome day today. Initially I was a bit disappointed about the course change but 3 times around the buoy set amongst the waves was awesome fun. What a great course.
Thanks to the Queensland crew for such a great welcome and a big thank you to Angie and Jacko for organising boards and transport for the day.
96 competitors was an awesome effort.

Ahahahahah

With all the whining about 12'6 boards being so bad for the sport I thought open 14 would be the biggest class.

I am an idiot for taking anything written on seabreeze to be even remotely close to the truth!

Maybe next time the entrants list can be posted so I don't drive 6hrs to race myself?

Good fun event all the same!! Great work Peasey and supsa.
