Well what a trip it's been so far.

The most professional event i've ever been apart of. The organisation is unreal.

Watch the live webcast if you can, the mens and womens sup surfing starts tomorrow.

There is unreal sup surfing talent here!!! The guys and girls from countries such as
South Africa, Chille, Mexico and brazil have been surfing up a storm the last 2 days!

The competition is very hard.

Aussie team is ready for the start tomorrow. We have been warming up the last 2 days in the break at the site, nice waves and perfect for sup.

After a nice day of sup'in the aussie team chilled out watching the awesome sunset, calling it another day.

The racing also isn't gonna be easy in mens and womens! Some unknown's here from other countries that have never been able to get to an other big world racing events yet.

XX angie

ps, of course NZ is in with a chance in the racing LOL, Go jacko the only NZ paddler here :)

Update at the end of day 2,

1st GOLD medal, Womens Prone Tech course, Jordi Mercer!!! By a mile!!

Some serious drama at the end with the 2 water cans to go between! but it all worked out fine as Jorden had plently of time to spare.

The 3 Aussie SUP surfers, Jackson Close Justin Holland & Shakira all thru to Prelim Finals!! YEW

Tomorrow will see the Mens Prone tech course and more surfing.

The SUP Tech is on Friday (Sat at home) and SUP Distance Saturday (Sunday home). The racing is going be hard and HOT!! Seriously HOT. Course for the tech is tricky with heaps of water moving around and nice waves too.

The distance race looks way more then 18km but they assure us it's not.

I will keep you all updated.

Question: Why let the Kiwi team member train with you. Is he picking up and stealing good Aussie training tips???
