If any QUEENSLANDERS can't get down to Sydney to see laird,, try the next best thing and call into Mac"s shop

Thanks Dylan for trying anyway. Seems now he will be at the SUP surfing presentation at Shoal Bay Country Club tonight - Friday - at 6 pm.

Not sure now if I want to meet the guy or throw something at him. So when does a fan become a stalker?

Was that cross stepping or cross dressing? Looks like he is wearing one of Windina Westerly's shawls? (Ok, stalker!)

Ok, he was another hour or more late. No problems. Laird presented as a really nice guy with a top attitude, which was obviously genuine.

Needless to say, I am back to being a fan.

Yes, today at Shoal Bay in front of the Country Club. They would have had about ten or more of his new boards. Apparently, they will be setting the tent up again in the same spot tomorrow (Sunday).

I also heard Laird is keen on a surf in the morning. Birubi Beach will probably be the only place breaking, with a chance of a wave at One Mile if some swell appears from the north.

They sure knew how to promote the Laird brand too. Free hats and shirts for all. Try and buy merch from the other brands (Naish, fanatic, starboard etc) at an event like this and you've got no chance.

Rodriguez I took the 9'6 Surfer for a spin this morning. It was a real surprise
I will put up a review up in the Gear section. I hope to try the 10' and 10'6 next week.

Yeah it did look good! That was what we ordered but someone guzumped us between here and Port Stephens! The 9-6 was pretty sweet. Got a 10-0 coming for demo next week!

Stoked, getting the 8'6" fish next week. Can't wait to see how it goes and post a review.

Kinda like to go the 9'0" hybrid or the 9'6" surfer/longboard,.but at the moment I have the old Ron House 10' Laird and am looking for something short and fast that will fit where the big board won't.

If you are looking for a board that surfs well and is still fast on the flat water, the hybrid looks like a great choice. Needless to say, the surfer looks like the perfect board for the longboard rider who wants to transfer their skills to SUP.

I agree. I am keen to try the 9'6 Hybrid. That nose on the Surfer is too big for me!
