It looks like it will be a very well organized event especially being the first big one of the new season to include a "Masters Category". I hope it will be well supported by all those over 50's....
Should be an awesome weekend! Jeff and Lynda from Peninsula SUP always run great events so looks like this will be a rippa!
See you there!
We've had great support from local business - lots of prizes - including bathing passes at Peninsula Hot Springs for each competitor - so the cold water won't be a problem!
Can't and won't speak for the organisers Phill, but I think you'll find that's a default click on the "Not Eligible" tab whereas if you click either Junior Girls or Junior Boys tab, the tick highlights on the box you selected and the "Not Eligible" is de-emphasised.
We are trying to find the right balance between divisions and classes and the logistics of running the event - so the "Not Eligible" is a default setting on the forms for entrants that don't meet the age criteria.
In other words - if you are 18 - you can't enter the Seniors or the Masters Divisions but you can enter the Open or the Junior division.
If you have any questions - don't hesitate to post them and we'll answer them in this forum - as probably others will have the same questions.
Look forward to a good turnout at the event.
For how long do you have to have been 40 to enter in the senior category??
I will have endured around 3 weeks of my 40's by the race date.
i heard a rumour that a certain hairy animal from northern nsw
may be in the area at the time sniffing around
and is real keen on taking home the prize pool..............
Thanks Lynda
I have warned the pie shops and rum vendors to stock up!
Yes, as PT Woddy says - PFDs are required for the Downwind event - but not for the 6km event as race course is within 400 metres of the shore.
