Just entered in 10km DW & 6km races.
Noticed this on the website for the DW race.......'5. Wearing of a high visibility rash vests or similar over garment is mandatory'.
So now I have to go out and buy myself some poxy fluro rashie I'm never going to wear again or are they provided??
My Camelback has a couple of reflective strips on it......is that 'high vis' enough??
That southerly looks to be pretty much an offshore direction for the intended course so we'd either want Thursday's strong W-SW or Sunday's light wind from the south.
Spent an hour paddling with a New Zealand fur Seal in Pittwater yesterday. I was practicing in booties in preparation for the cold water. Booties and a seal - Melbourne here we come.
We may need to revise the mankini rule. Downwinder this morning with 35 knot gusts and the occasional 40+ peak. Yeah, the water's a tad cold. When Warwick the Snowboard king goes into hypothermia, you know it's a bit fresh.
Annoyed but can't make this event on the weekend. Damm university open days and work conference are conspiring against us.
Young Jono is spewing but thats life. Have a great event and hope the wind blows true on Saturday
Cheers Mel
Yeah, but I know how to dress correctly when I go shredding!
I don't own a sup wardrobe, maybe I really need to re-think what conditions we have here, mid-winter Melbourne. Oh , to have been in my 4/3 and booties this morning, rather than the man-kini!
Warwick, with the RPS shop as your personal wardrobe supply your always the best dressed supper on the water...... would of been nice this morning with the 35 knot+light breeze at your back... a quick D/W er
