Finally, stitches out, wound re dressed, first paddle in 2 weeks.

Felt wobbly and unfit.
Great to be out though.
It's been "red bus" at makorori beach the last days.......today okay....but yesterday strong offshore winds (the sup enemy).....plus punchy waves breaking on shallow sandbanks. Yesterday i was just an old try hard being blown off the wave faces.....today could almost pretend to be a winner
took the old yellow peril out today (hokua 9'1x32) as i needed a bit more stability!! Got a nice little hour session in before it turned to absolute rubbish at Inverloch
Paddled from Maroochy river mouth up river to Dunethin rock on my 7'6" bam bam...over 17kms according to the referdex...my legs are wrecked
Back out after 3 days of weather and surgeon visit.

but that alas probably claimed the life of Quicksilver/Boardrider CEO, Pierre Agnes, a beloved local, his fishing boat was found upturned on the beach 500m north of these pics 2 hours before...
