IMO very nice too ...i think double flyers are ok , just the MRx too close from rail. I might put those large fins more inside plan shape because this kind of wide board( despite of flyers ) are very hard too carve. Plus, it's looking as M5 as rear fins, might remove M5 for GX.
Need to know how is weight's Rahams

Hey Noel, I bet it rips! Just got the shortboard version - best surf craft I have ever ridden - so fast and precise, carves like a steak knife!

Kami these shapes only work with the fins right on the rail.

Not really the same board, IMO. But quite both nice board, i expect more boards lie yours in the future .
You get straight rail and smaller fins than Noel's board, plus noel's SUP has larger fins ( look like MR...) and larger hip despite of wingers.
My next board will look like Noel's LENNOX DESIGN SUP, for sure
Thank you for info.

Yup. Actually, being wide everywhere grants a lot of stability for its width, so you can get narrower a bit, to ease going on the rail. I have no experience with Tomo boards, but this is what I found out with my various Simmons/Fish short&wide shapes.

Looks epic Noely. Love the spay too. Yeah - what's the volume? I reckon you could have gone a bit narrower?

Nice stuff Goaty. How does the lack of nose lift go on a steep drop out the point?

I don't want to hijack Noel's thread but this concept is possibly the next stage in the development of modern surfcraft IMO. Not so much the nose shape but the parallel rails combined with deep concaves and the unique rocker. I can't see why it wouldn't work for a SUP.

No problem with pearling so far Casso - had solid Point and BIG bower on Sunday. The latter was one of the best sessions ever out there. Here's some footage of this shape (in a shortboard)in action:

Also check a 50yo Tom Curren flog Dane Reynolds on one in a heat at Rincon.

hi
this board is not a machine cut.it was a left over slab from our last block.
cleg hand shaped this for himself.i had the job of trying it out in the surf first.
heaps to much foam for me but the board has alot of things going for it.cant wait to do a scaled down
one for myself.

Rahams.... I really like the spray... very retro Zap comics. Nice look!

Can't wait to here your take on the ride. I have been intrigued by a similar shape by L41. The new S5 is a Tomo style , that is ridden very narrow, of course I would have to bend that theory, because I would need wider, so I'm interested to see yours in action.

Here is a short clip of the L41 S5 at 26 wide

Enjoy your Toy!!!

Hi kami,
I played around with some finless surfing a while back; fun, but I still prefer the feeling the of drive from big, well placed fins!
I was also going to make a bigger sup version of the side cut board, but it reminded me of the meyerhoffer mals.
Simon From deep is having a lot of success with his short vanguard style sups. From what I've seen, they have a smooth short board carving feel to them!
I might take the fins out tomorrow I and go for a bit of a slide!

We got the same dream..
So if you still prefer the feeling of the drive from big, well placed fin, look this twin fin i decide to do with this broken Kiola paddle.

I'm going to put these fins made from a paddle on my new Flextail BADBOARD.
Should work perfect on your side cut board , this kind of shape make me very impressive! I'm all ready working on this kind of shaping file , i want to add a full body board rear part on the back with broken paddle fin

This template of curves fins will work perfectly on a SUP because the water flow reacts inside the tail area of the board allowing to carve the all board instead of going on the rail and tip of the fin, That's sit

Noel would have a go whith those fins specially on his new toy

Hey Noel

Board looks great! - might have to try and hack one out myself.

What width would you go for your own board?

It was good to catch up. Thanks for the ride on the Tomo shorty too.
