Hey Noel
Board looks great! - might have to try and hack one out myself.
What width would you go for your own board?
It was good to catch up. Thanks for the ride on the Tomo shorty too.

gday
im doing a 710 x 30 x4
cheers mate
Sik sik sik can go narrow er I have home made 8"0"x27 1/2 is the most fun I've had on sup
ive been meaning to shape something like this for a while now but still have not got the idea totally figured in my head, is every one going for the full tomo deep single concave or doing something less dramatic and with the straight rails what sort of rocker are you guys using, more or less than normal? After surfing mu fish a lot and loving them this could be a great next step.
Here's another that's just been created by looks like well known shaper from down south. I went full deep concave no Chanel

cool nice how about rocker?
But on the opposite, on the L41 S5 vid posted by supthecreek on first page, there seem to be too much nose, it is up in the air during the whole ride...
This shows why the nose is there on a normal shaped board..

No, this guy was falling off because he just have a board with a square nose...
Like tails, nose of the board is not the main thing to watch.
This is line, curve going to nose or tail which are important shape to considere.
Shape of ends are up to the lines going to them.
For example: parallel lines at 2feet off the nose make the hips or wings far back the center of the board and still have volume in nose.
Those shapes are futur concept , IMO.

Yes, because this board has too much rocker making the front line of the board useless.
Yea I have to admit the l41 just looks like its riding all rong more like a normal board with a square nose that anything else but it looks like he is using the same single to double concave bottom. With the huge concave on the tomo you are actually taking alot of rocker out the center of the board when it's flat but then increas it when it's on a rail.

at first when i watched the video i thought she was too much rolling on the tail lift , definevely she does!
Front line are ok to avoid ducking the nose with its parallels lines it need some scoop.
