Come on next week's road trip and you can be the judge mate.
...or unblock me.
Whos going on that trip? and where?
Arra. I'll PM you the deats.
The 12' old tech(nology) sold yesterday for the asking price.
The 11'0 new tech is still for sale (not by me).
There was only ever 9'3, 10'6, 11' and 12 foot in the old tech and 11' and 12' in the new tech.
Yep - that 12' sold for the asking price... paid by me.
I'm happy with what I paid. While it was only a few hundred less than (the current) new price, I'm told it's never been waxed... and it's the old tech. And I believe the seller that it's never been waxed.
Again, happy with the purchase and the price.
I've been looking for the 11' for a few years since hiring one in Waikiki, but this 12' just seemed too good to pass up.
Now I've just got to learn to ride it...... It's sooo much bigger than my 10' boards!
Then there's fins......
This is the best fin I've found for the 11' Munoz. Certainly better than the fin that came with the Munoz's originally.
It also works perfectly in all my gliders mind you !

Well done ,you did your research, and got the prize, really happy for you.
Thanks Surf Animal - I'll chase one down (when my bank account recovers a bit), and after I've got a bag for the board.
I christened the board in two different ways today.
Knocked the nose on the door frame on the way out of the storage room - thought I was well clear, being half way up the driveway and all!
Anyway, just a minor chip. I'll whack some SUP rail tape on the nose, at least until I've sourced a bag for it, 'cause I'm pretty sure it wont be the last time the nose (or tail) get bumped.
Also launched the barge for it's maiden voyage. I felt like I should have cracked a bottle of champagne across the nose.
Gotta say, I absolutely loved the way it paddled. Sooo fast and smooth. I reckon I could've made it to Auckland by lunch time if I tried.
Also much more nimble on the wave than I expected. OK - nimble isn't quite the right word, but there's certainly more to the board than just point and shoot. I was Burleigh, mid-beach, and almost shocked at how it handled a 2' beachie at low tide!
Even more happy with the purchase now!
Good to see some people who know their stuff helping out
That certainly goes for you too, LL!
I freakin' love my Sea Plane with the S9 set up - the board feels 2 foot shorter with those fins!
Of all I've tried, the S9 and side bites is my fave, and I haven't even moved the S9 from where I first bolted it in (trying to replicate the pic that you posted).

Happy days Lacey's new seaplane is a different shape and has a flatter rocker.

Hi Surfanimals, have you ever had a look at the 11'2" and 12' Sanctum gliders? Asking as since they are down your way you may have.
Interested in one since I'm not in the slightest bit interested in riding a longboard to noseride it so the common wide nosed longboards are completely wrong for my intended purpose.
Design brief: catch anything I look at before others.
Pete if you get one and it doesn't float your boat after the first surf, I LL swap it for the coffee machine that needs a service in garage.
Pop outs were defined as boards coming out of a mould .
Otherwise macs pic of 5 new noseriders on a rack would be defined as aussie pop outs.
Lets get the definitions right before bagging boards
My 5 board post is called smart or lean manufacturing ask me I'm an expert but no match for China who wiped out my industry 15 years ago. I had to pay award and above wages, insurance and tax on tax all while getting screwed by massive retailers on price due to cheap imports flooding the market, then they stopped ordering Australian made once they bleed the industry dry. No rant just a fact and it's a fact of life for all the Australian manufacturing sector. I believe people take issue with this when talking pop outs not so much the board itself.
Gents,
Selling my Pieter "Basic Mal" model. Its a great board in as new condition. Dimensions are 10 x 23.5 x 3.25
It has a pigment on the top with resin tint bottom and pinline. Comes as a 2 plus 1 with a handmade white fin to go with the board made by Pieter. Would suit a new buyer. If anyone is interested or knows someone who maybe just shoot me a message on here.

Mac , your beef should be with australian governments following UN agendas. One of those is world wealth distribution
They didnt want you manufacturing locally.
Your business model now is what they wanted you to do.
Its crap i know

What generated the economy that is able to pay high wages and buy expensive goods. Exports.
Surely all you blokes have never bought an imported car if you support Aussie manufacturing so much
.
It was one manufacturing industry that was viable till people started preferring imports. Was also a big contributor to the economy. Much more than some foam and fibreglass stick will ever be..
Picking battles is a luxury we can afford due to the economy built on exports.
****ing ironic isn't it.
I've got all Aussie made or assembled cars and ride Aussie made surfboards
Oi Oi Oi..
Straya.
Just to get you lot off the topic of pop-outs, I took the 12' Munoz pop-out for another surf during the week.
Again, so surprised at how well a board that size handles in the surf (and at what is a beach break) - can't wait to give it a shot on a rolling point break.... as long as I don't have to carry it too far, at 12' x 26.25" x 4.3", it's a bit of a handful.
It is an odd board to be on in the surf, everyone thinks that the stupid SUP rider has forgotten his paddle!
You guys obviously have not had your or your families lives turned upside down or lived though what I have and forced out of a industry I was passionate about until then and only then will you understand my side. Not having a go at SP or Lacey.
Pop out away

Making room for something new?
I know it was in this thread somewhere, but am too lazy to go
through 60+ pages...
where are people sourcing covers/bags for these beasts?
