3-4ft point breaks and beachies mmmmmm mac you have had your 24 hrs now, ring boofy

+ 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!

obct, Crazey (+1), Prawnhead, LFish, Sharpie have shown strong interest....SP has a new car that he can not wait to take up that way....who else? Stuk should be able to make it for a day trip or night as he is pretty close.

Should be a ripper!

Been non-commitall so far as my surf wagon also has to pull the wife and daughters horse float to horse shows most weekends. Good domestic arrangement means I surf during the week and tow horses around of a weekend, have to see how that pans out through the week, might manage a day trip.

no offense TED but the surf in the pacific would be a truck load better if NZ was moved 5000km north

yes I agree! In surf terms you have the great blocking highs like we have at the moment but we also have far too many NZ blocking lows!!!!!! I guess if NZ was to move further north we all would have stayed there as it would be a hell of a lot warmer

Hey LFish as Prawnhead has mentioned its a road from Crescent - just can have a few pit holes and corrugations on it - so just take it easy.

No worries guys, thanks for the update...I'm going there..

you can still surf in a southeaster at most of the points ....rain could be the drama although currently they are saying its going to be mild and patchy ..left my last good raincoat at the cinema next to my bag of twisties .......

I'll be going away no matter what, I've got the leave so I may as well use it.

I'll send out a few phone numbers before I go, just in case you need to call or send a text.

My only issue was if its was going to be p*ssing down all weekend

Anyway from the look of the latest charts I would say we are in for some fun times! I can not wait. Lets hope Laurie is right as this forecast of his looks like it will be a lot of fun at PP. Game on.

I shall hope to head up Thurs night but it depends on the GF as she is going to some gig at the Oprea House on Wed night and I am not sure if she is working on Thurs or not. Otherwise we shall leave at 4am Friday and have a surf and pie at crescent on the way through.

I would definitely recommend a visit to the pie shop - YUMO!!!

I've got a tiny problem with a temporary filling that has come out twice today and the quack is going to have another crack at it tomorrow arvo, but regadless of if it works or fails, I'll still be going away.

The only problem is, if it does not work, the only thing I'll be eating is room temperature mush and the only thing I'll be drinking is room temperature water

Obs - take some ordinary kitchen variety Cloves with you mate - temporary pain relief sometimes can work at a pinch.

Now isn't that funny, just last night as he was in there digging out the molar for the crown, I said to him, what's that funny taste? It's like nutmeg. He said, "oil of cloves"

Oh, by the way, what's the most expensive thing you have ever eaten?

I'll go first.

One olive cost me between $1000 and $2000.

It's what I ate about 3 years ago at a friends place in an antipasto, she aid all the olives were pitted, and the first 2 were, number 3 was not.

Hence the very expensive crown.

Welllllllll - it looked like a bloody nice shiny lolly

Have a good trip fella, won't be making it up there. Plenty of photos please.

You should get some waves, the wind looks a bit dodgy but still ok for up that way... If the qld boys are coming I'd suggest a warm jacket for the evenings.

Good advice boofy, I'll also be taking along my walking frame, Metamucil and incontinence nickers.

I'm might have to become a late exclusion.

I've irritated my neck and pinched the radial nerve where it comes out of the spine. So aside from a sore neck and shooting pain in my shoulder, I also have no feeling in the thumb, fore finger, and half the middle finger. Needless to say the Physio has kyboshed all things fun atm.

If it gets magically better some how I'm there, but I'm not holding my breath.

PS the worse this has gotten the better the forecast has looked.

Im sorry to say that you wont be going cRaZy
I had the same thing about 18 months ago and its pure hell. Took a solid six months to get it right again, and even then I had to be carefull that I didnt over do it. I did mine with a solid week of surfing at my fave reef break.
The pain is bullsh!t and its so hard to get comfortable when sleeping or lying down so forget camping

Get friendly with your physio mate, its a long recovery

Thats no good Crazey - hope you get better shortly.

In the meantime obct with everyone pulling out it looks like we will be getting more waves to ourselves!!!!! The forecast is improving all the time. I am hoping for no wind / glassy conditions till midday at least! We have had several days up around here of late when we have not had a breath of wind all day. Heaven. Love the noise your board makes when its fanging down the line on a super smooth surface. Joy.

well, if there's a wave, let's just hope the size suits me.

Got the board for any little peelers and I've got the board for big and slow.

But if it's big and sucky, nothing will help me. So I'll be on the end of a camera.

bit of sun around ,the odd ominous cloud ,wind is offshore at plommer today,
you'll be ok obct, its pretty rare to see barrelling point plomer and that's normally on north east swell..its normally the cruisiest option ....around the beach a bit further can be a different story!

i can probably only make it thursday night/friday morn for a quick surf as some rel's have sprung a trip on me .
Really want to hope that high will move a bit quicker which should give some respite from the wind ..windguru is predicting more swell thursday night/friday morn but every site i look at interprets the models a little differently we'll see !
i will give you a heads up on conditions early thursday morning
cheers

there must be more ailments and a full scale" hecatomb"happening ..
the forecast keeps improving swell wise, E swell is a bit of winner
http://www.swellnet.com.au/reports/port-macquarie/extended
my hecatomb to the swell god (used to /still occaisonally)is a carton of beer followed by a smooth red and few drambuies and large hangover!!
(" hecatomb" obct!, i see a little parisology creeping into your posts as opposed to some of the usual charientism )

Yes Mr Prawn its been improving everyday of late.....starting to get excited now. The winds although not from the most preferred quarter should be light. I am hoping for some lovely clean conditions from early on till mid day ish.

Hope to share a few waves with you Friday morning and maybe some beers Thurs evening if I can get away from work early enough tom.

Anyone else making the trip? Has Boofy decided to come and bring a few crew from the north?
