Yeah Michael, you could be right to mate it's not uncommon to 2 door a custom either,my mate here did it with an FJ,lots of fabrication involved.I know what you mean about the Buicks my mate had a 50 2 door, used to ride around sometimes in it with him, bloody big beautiful whale of things they are.Yeah I guess we'll never know unless we talked to the guy who built it.I might do a search on it,see what I come up with,I have seen the car around a fair bit on the net
Here it is MR and OB,Scott Pruett the Nascar Driver owns it.Doesn't really say if it was a fabricated sedanette or woody, they're are just referring to it as a woody www.ebay.com/motors/blog/low-tide-scott-pruetts-1950-buick-woody/

Thanks for the trouble Al.... the farker put a Chev motor in it! Jeez..... doing up a well built straight 8 with a blower would have made it much more unique..... Caddy bumper bullets.... gosh, that's just like the dufus who puts Yamaha blinkers on a 1960s Harley.... Nice looking ride, but.... oh well, it could have been worse, he could have powered it with a Fo.... nah, I don't wann give anyone ideas.

No worries MR,i learnt a bit about it toyeah a lot of people put Chevs in hot rods and classics I suppose because they are more reliableI agree with ya there though, that particular woody would be nice with either a straight 8 or a blown 455 Buick engine would have been better
