Geez mate look at how many of the old girls in their zeniths there really was good old Roy Vaaaaaaaaalbisons
There couldn't be all that many left in existence mate - they rusted pretty easily
Nah there wouldn't be,yeah rusted most of them.I haven't seen one in a while but I don't get out much!
Looks like the Old Tuross River bridge on the Princes Highway north of Bodalla.
Great photo Mac.
ET.
A couple of Eeeks & a Fob
This pic troubles me, can anyone else see problems with it?
at a stretch I would need to say that the pic was taken in 64, probably earlier, this is based on the fins, they may even be balsa boards, which would make them older than the car.
Even at 64, few surfers had cars as new as that, lets assume it's a 61 model Holden.
The other problem in the way they have tied them on wax up, and sticking out the back like dogs balls, total amateurs.
I reckon is some city kids that have gone to the country to visit uncle Bob and he said, "hey, I've got some old boards under the veranda, lets go take a look at the beach?"
Magnificent observation Obs mate , excuse the pun none intended I am beginning to see why Hilda Honeybadger-Trotters says you have an eagle eye for fine detail
Feasted my Meat Pies on this absolute cracker on the way out of the coffee shop this morning .... sublime resto job just about as perfect as it gets
Pup, I pretty sure that's the one I pointed out to you a couple of years ago when were having a surf ay North Mulla, it was driving around the headland just before Lance turned up.

Yep OBs that bloody well irks me to,I 've seen it a few times and it just doesn't look right.I mean your going to put the board on there anyway so just put it on the right way.One good thing is it's a very rare double side flash wagon which I'm pretty sure legendary Surf Photographer Jack Eden owned,so they weren't amatuers with him,I'd say one of them is Scott Dillon!...
^Cool pic Mac
Must be a local car Pup he's got Arrawarra Longboards and log shack stickers on the back, very cool,It's a 1965/6 Chevy Suburban....

/\ /\ /\ that ute is remarkable, I could not believe a Nissan 1000 ute could be in the states as far back 1959, so I did some research and sure enough, they were there.
Apparently a couple of hundred were bought in by American servicemen serving in Japan, even before 1959
