My wife loves taking pics to Gizzie,she just walked in as I had you're pic on the screen and said geez that's nice,haha 
Saw this 64 splitty on the way home from a surf this morning,the photo doesn't do it justice,it was immaculate

I'm assuming this splitty rat is a very different beast on the underside, compared to the top.
You could never drop a splity that low with the reduction boxes, and even if you did, the swing axels would result in a ton of negative camber at the arse end.
You'de be right I'de say OB,most Rat Rods or Rat Cars have a perfectly good full chassis and or restored suspension and either are Air bagged or have Hydraulics!...
The freshly painted wheels and new hub caps could be a sign?...But it looks coool
apparently the original image has the car sitting much ( more practically) higher, but this sure looks cool I reckon
