Geez a Karmann Ghia - this brings up a heap of memories , My late old Mum had one of these in burnt orange the baked enamel must have been near half inch thick on it I still don't know how we all fitted in the bloody thing

Sounds like ya's where a VW family mate,didn't ya Dad have a Baja Bug or a few of em to,coooolThere's some really nice Karmann's around
Yeah Al , few Kombis , beetles , a Passat too , a fastback - and ya know in the very end I found a long metal tray box Dad had stashed away he'd packed some ancient carbies & a heap of other bits that had corroded down into pretty much dust over the years
One beetle got stripped down to chassis & turned into a Baja X - learnt to drive in that at 13 or 14
