There was an article today about it actually.

More on Quik
My personal opinion is that they aren't surfing labels anymore they are corporate owned clothing companies and to be honest i think i will be taking more care to spend my money elsewhere.

I get my board shorts from woollies.
stuff paying good money to look like tool when you can pay a third to look like a tool
besides, its how you wear it that counts not what you were
That's why I buy my boardies at lowes $10 and super stylish and comfy too
only surfing makes you a surfer, not ya boardies

it unique because nobody buys it .
everyone else is too busy getting the stuff everyone else has
Its the kids that get sucked into the surfwear labels, your not cool etc if you don't have the label on your t shirt , a 5 dollar shirt selling for 60 bucks...so Lowes/Wollies is the new cool now in boardies... i'll check em out tmorow... LL has started a new trend..
Don't forget aldis I bought two pairs a cpl weeks ago for under 15 bucks each and they are great actually better than lowes but not on sale all the time although I've already got paint on one pair which is not unusual for me as I wear them to work as well
Iv'e got a pair of Golden breeds "hibiscus" $12,haha, like the old Okanui's remember them, hard to find now.
and a pair of old billabongs and Peak that iv'e had for about 7 years, think I got them for $15 each!
Check out smile clothing. Basic stuff, relatively cheap but for everything you buy a kid gets clothing in a third world country. Good stuff that doesnt really happen much any more
It's not a thread, it's a tv show that was just on called "countdown to life" and I would not normally mention anything about it here because it's all about human embryonic development, however , when they were showing a preview of next weeks show, there was a picture of Laird Hamilton.
That's got me really intrigued, what on earth would he be doing on an English science doco?
I had no intention of missing the next episode because it relates to one of the most interesting aspects of development, but now there's another reason not to miss is.
Sorry to jump the gun, I just could not stand the suspense of not knowing for 7 days so I looked up the transcript of the show.
Apparently Liard is used as an example of someone who is prone to take higher levels of risks than others and this can be traced back to the womb.
That's why the shot of him showed him holding up his hand because the length differential between the ring and index fingers is an outward manifestation of increased testosterone levels.
I'm guessing they'll be showing some footage of him catching some big'uns
I have to ask, what happened to Cobra, dose anybody know, was he banned or just had enough?
Not sure. But lets start a thread on Souths and how crap they are - that should bring him back

If that doesn't work try another "show us your thong quiver?"
Speaking of big waves SP - what size board would yo ride out here
Swellnet: How big is it forecast to get on Monday?
The swell looks pretty big Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Sunday looks like it could get up to around 80 foot and Monday and Tuesday look like it could get up to the 100 foot mark.
No doubt about it, it looks big. But what about those winds?
It looks like there is going to be a fair bit of wind with a few moments of light winds. We'll have to watch carefully and choose when we go out.
So no matter what, you reckon you'll get a go out?
We're definitely planning to go out there and give it a crack as that's what we're here for. But obviously if the winds are way too strong and the ocean is mess, well, riding 100 footers will have to be put on hold.
What board will you'll ride?
We have a board designed by Jarryd and Chapstar surfboards. It's a 5"11 tow board with more thickness then your average tow board. We thought we would do something different to eliminate the chops down the wave and it seems to be working. The board weighs about 12 kilos with all the weights on it.http://www.swellnet.com/news/swellnet-dispatch/2016/02/06/firing-line-mick-corbett-nazare
