Don't worry boys, I'm heading to the match this afternoon to give you a first hand account of how good.....the booze is.

You'll need it mate, Tassie just bowled you out for 45 runs!

Good celebration there McHenry - back to back hundreds does not happen often - but Warner has just done it twice in rather quick succession. Stand by for some fireworks now I reckon as they push for a total. 6 centuries in his last 11 innings is something rather amazing.

Great day to be at the cricket McHenry..

Lots of wickets and runs would have been an entertaining day and I'm sure the beer would have been cold. I hope they don't have the stupid mid strength rules down there.. How can you go to the cricket and only drink mid strength

That was fun - but I reckon they could have pushed it a bit earlier and had a bowl for 20 mins this evening. Have they forgotten that the Saffas saved a test on the last day with a century by a batsman and running out of time to bowl over the tail enders?

Yeah I thought that a bit strange as well Ted. I see the point of ensuring that they see out the bulk of the overs and get a winning total on board. But they could have gone the tonk a bit earlier and got an hour at them this arvo. A big test of Lyon tomorrow. Hes been found wanting a couple of times in the past when we needed him to bowl a side out on the last day of a test.

i think if you want to drink full strength..stay home…sporting events is no place for out of control obnoxious bogans it stuffs it up for children and women.. seen to much at footy
cricket or footy is hard to police for drunkenness, until its to late. i have seen some sad drunken fights at the MCG and the footy.

I agree 100% the fights and stupid behavior have no place at sporting grounds of anywhere for that matter but I don't go to the footy to fight and 99% of the community are sensible and don't either

having the choice of 1 beer that you would never drink is **** no matter were you are

And It's not about getting pissed, but if I'm there with my old boy, grand father and if we wanna have 3-4 beers then why I am I put out by the dickheads.

Up here they used to sell mid strength beer and full strength bourbon. Dickheads...

I'm talking about Clark... He is the bloke that captained most of the game ,scored a ton and steered the Australian team to a one to zip Lead in the test. You may of heard of him ted, he's the same bloke that captained the Australians last year when they whitewashed the poms in the ashes...sorry you may of forgot, that was another one of many sporting predictions someone got horibly wrong....

Is that this Clarke? Maybe you should not be so sensitive when faced with the bleeding obvious and get it so horribly wrong

<div class="story-intro">MICHAEL Clarke has dropped a bombshell on Australian cricket, admitting there’s a chance he may never play again.
The captain ruled himself out for the rest of the series against India and says his World Cup hopes could also be in jeopardy, pending feedback from experts on the serious hamstring and back injuries he’s taken out of Adelaide.Clarke has vowed to fight on but in a statement which will rock the Australian team to its core, the sombre skipper hasn’t ruled out a shock retirement after a spate of setbacks with his body.“There’s certainly a chance I could never play again,” said Clarke after the match.

I for one hope this is not the end of his career.

Steve Smith named as Captain;

I think this is a good call. Personally, I think you need to think long term. See how Steve Smith goes.
Haddin isn't going to be around too much longer, plus I'm not a huge fan of having the Wicket Keeper, as Captain.
The Keeper has a big enough job, just keeping wicket.

I wish Steve Smith all the best as Captain, and hope he does a great job! I'm sure he can!

I would tell Haddin first, explain the decision. But, Haddin as Captain would have also been a good option.
