So. Question.
Whats if there is is another outbreak.
Unemployment is getting bigger and bigger.
Whats happens when the money runs out?

I dont think if they lift restrictions they could go back to restrictions again.
There will be nothing left to go back to again second time round.

Can we afford another 3 and a half weeks where we are?

Really happy if im wrong !!!

Holy crap.

Heard on the news just how hard some over there where doing. They all gonna riot if the gov does not step up and help.

Thing is that there is more than enough of everything to go around to keep people fed and sheltered.

Maybe instead of being driven from the top down we need to push back from the bottom up? (no not up the bottom).

Screw all the banks and their power, everyone boycott paying their rents and mortgages and see how far that gets them. How are they then gonna turf everyone out at once?? All pitch in together in community groups to feed the tribe, go fishing, go hunting and gathering. Protect yourself an those around you with distancing and isolation as much as possible.

Let nature take it's toll on those of us that are ill, crikey I would willingly take the hit for the sake of others freedoms and right to survive, to live off the land, to travel and to speak freely. My parents and grandparents did just that to secure our freedoms and a lifestyle of plenty. Time to sacrifice some of the plenty to give back to the destitute.

If we get hit with a second round all the smirking and grinning on the faces of the polies will be wiped right off. No way they can come up with another cash splash and we will eventually be equal to the rest of the 95% of the worlds population.

Lacey I just want to say its been refreshing to see someone constantly thinking & not regurgitating BS propagated by the MSM...I won't enter into what each extra week will equal (its more than monetry)...only to say I expect them to push the restrictions for as long as they feel possible. The level of resistance will be the the main determining factor. That said I think Australia mainly looks to follow other countries to determine their decisions.

Put it this way, there is no vaccination for the common cold, yet alone the multitude of flu's/virus's out there. This thing will ebb and flow just like all the other influenza's/viruses & bacteria out there.

No we can't afford to continue restrictions. We have enough health data now to make decisions on who needs to be protected. It is what has been reported for weeks. If you are elderly, if you have health issues. Take extra precautions. There are people outside that scope, but it lends to people discovering they have underlying health conditions they were not aware of.

Continue what your doing, get out there excercise, enjoy the ocean, practice social distancing, pack some anti bacterial wipes/wash for when your sharing doorknobs & after shopping or anywhere you've shared space with others.

.....its good to read some here are now stating they're going to get out & about. Its good for your health, just maintain infection control rules & you will be ok.

I like your statements, apart from one thing.

We are being lied to.

Yes it's an influenza style critter, yes we have no cure for the common cold, yes it takes a toll on those with underlying conditions or preexisting ones.

But NO it's not incurable, the evidence exists for anyone who wants to thoroughly investigate that a combination treatment of Zine and Chloro works. Not tin foil hat stuff, not unbalanced, not unproven and not off with the fairies or on the crack pipe.

And not I'm not going to link endless proofs. It's there for each and every person to investigate and make their own determination, the real key is to hit it hard and fast, before major damage occurs, kick it's arse before it kicks yours and decides to set up home.

This is why the only way to beat this thing is to test, test, test, isolate and treat.

Everything else two thumbs up.

I have a respiratory condition that would would knock me for a six and out of I got the rona, no medications taken.

My missus has a life long auto immune condition, no medications taken.

Regardless of these underlying conditions that would increase our risk we would be happy to have the risk attached to ensuring that a second or third wave did not decimate our economy, the kids livelihoods and ability to provide for their families. And I dare say that most people in our position have expressed a similar sentiment.

My Dad has 35% heart function and is missing one lung, walking pharmacy, same outlook.

In essence this little critter picks on the weak and old, engineered right out of Charlie Darwins survival of the fittest, which is somewhat of a reason to believe that it was no accident. Yeah tin foil hat time.

If you take a realistic look across society and compare it to even 50 years ago the number of people in todays world that are alive soley due to medications, treatments and technology that did not exists is staggering. Covid19 takes away the technology and medication advantage that supports the live expectancy of these people, me and my family included.

My wife and I have made a conscious decision in our lives to not take medications to prolong our existence and also our impact on those around us, in care, use of resources, costs etc.

I know everyone will not agree with the inference but one can not help but ask as dumb dumb Trump did, "is the cure worse than the disease?".

In both world wars young, old, healthy and infirmed all made the ultimate sacrifice to protect freedoms, what exactly are we trying to protect today other than peoples emotional well-being trying to ensure that they do not loose loved ones? And also a health system that would be otherwise overwhelmed by the initial spike in death rates?

If we are at war as our illustrious leaders have touted then we need to be primed to expect casualties, and also e prepared to become one of them.

That or we simply give up our freedom to protect the fragile existence that nature would have already dealt with.

I know, long winded and harsh in many ways. But we need to look beyond our own individual existence and at the greater good of humanity and society, and be willing to wear the responsibility and consequences as our ancestors did.

Take this in the spirit that you made your Darwin comment with

Look after yourself and stay safe. Most people would rather have you around than a few $ in the bank.
Lives before economics in my book. All economics is a trade off between the short term and long term any way.
In this case the equation changes to include the social cost of deaths.
