Lifting some restrictions about a week earlier than previously indicated (May 11). Although states will have a say in what they do, so you can probably expect Victoria to inflict restrictions a little longer.

Sure I'll thank you m8, no worries. I think people like my wife & I deserve some thanks also. I've continued caring for people with the added workload that infection control requires & my wife is teaching face to face to about 30% of her students plus 70% of her students attending online classes which also adds to her workload.

Other than that we have also been following our states restriction requirements.

Thanks m8, I appreciate it

...should of added my missus is a specialist teacher with just over 600 students, so the extra lesson plans to support the online courses is significantly more work due to additional lesson planning, individual communications instead of group based & providing feedback/marking etc is not insignificant...& from what I have heard they have not received any extra support. Relief teachers are filling the gaps teachers who are taking leave coz they're older or have an underlying health issue C19 would put them at risk.

Additional infection control is part & parcel of my workplace that happens x times every year, I'm used to it. I guess thats why I'm far less panicked or see things a bit differently to some people.

But teachers are being put into a workplace that is impossible to maintain proper infection control given classroom sizes, toilets/sink(taps) setup & working with young children. So yeah, they really need to be respected.

Missus has had some rewarding/funny moments though as a language teacher with parents coming up & surprising her by speaking Japanese coz they've been learning alongside their kids while they've been at home haha thats pretty cool
