And regarding asymptomatic people, people who get the virus but are not effected in a way that they are aware they are sick. Basically because they are not immune system compromised or have underlying health conditions.

The World Health Organisation reported that its very rare that these people can infect someone else yesterday. But of course this was not widely reported by the mainstream media. Instead there was a big push back from other "experts" who were not happy that the World Health Organisation had reported this fact...

I saw this reported a month or so ago and they said they couldn't confirm it.

but haven't seen an update.

Thank God we can trust the WHO again, they were spreading misinformation and in it with Bill Gates for the last few months.

Situation is staring to look nasty in a few US states with rising rates and near full capacity if ICU beds.
That is when **** will get real bad real fast. Doctors will be required to make life affecting decisions. Guess that is one benefit of our situation so far the lockdown measures have contained numbers to less than hospital occupancy rates.

Hang in there brother, thats the farking biggest problem that is being ignored right now. Fully understand how you feel...highly reccomend great ocean road trip as an alternative getaway. One of the best things to do in Oz & heaps of wave options

We aren't allowed out of greater Melbourne area, otherwise I would be out!

Hey Nozza, Are you still allowed to paddle around the bayside or peninsula suburbs that are part of the lockdown? Is that permitted as exercise under the lockdown rules? Your new board and DJ's right-hander would be a good combination to wash the heebie jeebies away.
But I might have my geography and my facts mixed up.
This seems to be the thread for it. Good luck.

PS... It looks promising? "Yes. Fishing, boating, tennis, golf and surfing are permitted as exercise."

SP the last part of your post has a very good point.
i never gave real thought about what will happen to people with covid in developed countries that are managing their covid but not receiving treatment because of a need basis. it could get pear shaped very quickly for those people.

That's one of the main reasons being flattening the curve, they need to keep serious cases below the ICU numbers

Once you hit that limit of ICU beds doctors make decision on who lives and who dies.

Once the beds are full an you have a disease that grows exponentially you have situations like Spain and Italy where they make decisions on who gets a chance to live and who is on there own and likely dies.

Once those decision are in force deaths rates rise quickly.

I havn't m8...the original info was within the I guess 3000 word document I linked to 20 to 40 pages back, which was not summarised for clear quick reference. You had to read through it.

I would not say we can trust the WHO again. Critical thinking on all supplied information from all sources is paramount these days, with some sources being higher than others for consistent non-ambiguity with regard to presentation of data.

In regard to the situation looking bad in the US...I think I posted the state of Texas would spike due to their "reviewed" Covid 19 definitions & New York's continual use of the incorrect treatment of ventilators.

Most states in the US have lower than usual hospital occupancy rates due to people's fear they will be infected if they go to them...US has a lot of states, only a few have issues with hospital capacity.

Regarding our hospitals, similar situation. But at least they have gotten back to elective surgery & my mum was able to have her second cataract surgery after being held up by all this BS. So she's not squinting all the time. 47 year veteran RN looking foreward to cruise ships operating again, frothing for some bargains

With the progression of the year comparisons of the average fatalities from cold/flu/covid are down from previous years. Most people are able to be locked away in quarantine "hotels" not hospitals due to the low incidence of serious health response.

Cool, just you had yesterday in your post so I thought they must have updated it from they didn't really know which is what they stated a month ago. The previous link I posted had her comments.

As for Texas, just cause you mentioned it I looked.
Reclassifying has nothing to do with hospitalisations.
Their ICU is nearly at 100%. Doesn't matter who or why they're there 100% is bad news.

8000 odd people in hospital in Texas and rising hospitalisations in 23 states is bad no matter how you wanna put it or what you wanna classify it as.

I have never tried to debunk C19. I have only opposed the response that has been taken & the misrepresentation of the severity of the virus for healthy people. I think we would have been better off protecting those at risk, not locking down the whole world. The response has caused other long term problems that will be far worse than the virus itself.

I will make comparisons between annual influenza & C19 stats soon. But its important to understand definitions like "probable cause" when considering them.

Once again hospitalisations aren't to do with classifications, which you seem to be fixated on

Im sure that video will be great comfort to the 130 odd thousand people who have died and their families.

Why is the CDC accurate when you use them but not when I do?

We're looking at it from 2 different angles. Hospitalizations are hospitalisations, just as "new cases" are "new cases". These do not equate to percenatages of fatalities of the people infected if that makes any sense. Sorry I'm just on my way out for a long drive for a family do.

And those that are being put down as fatalities in the US are unreliable due to the definitions. Such as "probable cause" on a death certificate adding to the fatality rate.

Ok Misrepresentation of the severity of the virus for healthy people. I don't understand your point. Obviously the fit have the ability to survive but there are fit aged people that have been affected. That's the formula of a virus. Covid being the exception with a higher level Of spreading. At the end of the day post as many vids as you like your line is drawn in the sand or more to the point head in the sand
