Bodily Automony...who should decide what goes into your body. You or someone else...Sounds like a crazy question right Welll not the way we're headed. I think I asked before, should people who are not at risk of a serious response to Covid 19 be forced to have a so-called Covid 19 vaccine And if one was announced would you be lining up for one ASAP or not

Yeh **** that polio one and etc etc etc etc as well...bloody vaccines and medicine

My question was clearly in regard to Covid 19

No they didn't, Japan did not lockdown like Australia did, heaps of people did not lose their jobs. The government made suggestions & people followed the suggestions based upon their own personal decisions. My parents in law who are in their 70's were not required to shut down their business & they did not stop working.

Their fatality rate is very low given a population size of 126 million people, how compact the population is, transportation methods, high percentage of elderly people etc ect

How is it a logic fail We just see things differently.

I understood the point you were making. We've covered this before & I said I was concerned about the process of Covid 19 vaccination development. I'm not & anti vaxxer. But each individual vaccine is independent of the other. Just because one has proven to be of benefit, does not automatically make the rest beneficial. I don't don't take a vaccine for something my own body can fight its own battle.

Other vaccines have a very long history. I'm concerned the Covid 19 one will be rushed through without the normal procedures. The US has already changed its mandatory testing requirements in order to do this. I have no doubt Australia will do the same.

Then everyone will be forced to have a mandatory vaccine for a virus that is not that severe for most people. I'm far more in favour of my own body developing its own mechanism for immunity.

Although I am not an anti vaxxer, I'm in full support of bodily autonomy.

I feel its headed that way m8 if you wish to live a relatively normal life.

In an interview with chief medical officer Brendan Murphy who has been advising the federal government, he was asked when borders might open for international travel. He said he could not see international borders opened until a vaccine was developed.

So reading between the lines that sounds like you will be required to have been vaccinated for Covid 19 before you are allowed to travel overseas based upon the opinion of the bloke who has been advising the federal government in regard to Covid 19.

The interview is below, sorry I don't have time right now to provide a timestamp for the statement.

OK. Just wondering as I hadn't heard anyone in a decision making position say it was going to be mandatory and even heard The current chief medical officer, Murphy has left, advocating against a mandatory vaccination.

The gov own corona response plan doesn't mention mandatory vaccinations either.

It might get to a quid pro quo in that you can't enter Australia or do certain things without testing or being vaccinated but that's a long way down the track from where we are now where there is no vaccine. And even if there is will it be widely available enough to treat everyone?

The interesting one will be if overseas country mandate it for incoming travellers.

And if you do get a choice that isn't really mandatory or forcing, it's a decision people will need to make like with a lot of other vaccines at present.

The mandatory vaccine bit seems to have been started an pushed by anti Vax groups that have a broader agenda then just Covid.

Murphy has stood down from public representation but still holds a role in the decision making process, government officials make decisions based upon advice from "the experts" of which Murphy still remains. An earlier press conference has him wishing to return to "incognito" mode, I made reference to him doing this fairly recently.

SP says, "The interesting one will be if overseas country mandate it for incoming travellers. "

I Absolutely agree! Its not just your own governments decision, the law of the lands you would like to visit also come into play. Meaning, say if your in Western Australia but would like to see your family in Japan. You need both the permission of at present the state government you reside in Australia plus the permission of the destination you wish to visit & god help you if you need to stoppover in a place that prevents your travel hopes.

I have not mentioned "mandatory vaccine" from third party input, like I stated in the post you appear to have responded too. The rhetoric seems to be pushing that way from people directly related to the legislation of our country.

SP says, "It might get to a quid pro quo in that you can't enter Australia or do certain things without testing or being vaccinated but that's a long way down the track from where we are now where there is no vaccine. And even if there is will it be widely available enough to treat everyone?"

Yes I absolutely agree & this is one of my main concerns. I fully expect a great deal of time to pass before conditions support the requirements of leading an unimpeded life.

Had a trip to Scotts Head booked for July 23 to August whenever, 2 weeks.
Guess I'm not going now.
Back in lockdown.
Don't come to Danistan.
That actually sounds a bit selfish and shallow - there are bigger issues than my trip to Scotts Head

Personally I don't think I'm over reacting with the way things look to be heading based upon what people are advising the government will need to happen for things to head towards some kind of normality.

Or in other words the "normal" we once knew is highly unlikely to ever return. It will be replaced with the "new normal". Which looks farked & it does not need to be that way.
