Try the board run bloke.

If he cant fit a 12 ftr.

Try surfcargo or surf freight.

Just talking to boardrun on FB. Doing a run the week of the 19th which suits me.

Otherwise seller also recommended surf freight

Question.....

I think the board will come without a fin...

Any recommendations on an appropriate fin to buy? (And where).

I'de just go with a 10 inch fin at first mate, something like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dorsal-Signature-Series-Longboard-SUP-Surfboard-Surf-Fin-Red-10-inch-/331806495742?hash=item4d413553fe:g:W84AAOSwJ7RYSca0
I bought the 9inch one the other day looks ok,got a bit of flex in it,but haven't tested it yet!..
After you get used to the board you can put any other type fin you like!...

Yeah that fin looks ok,I'de go the 10 inch one if you like em,if you get up towards the nose at least you'll have some of the fin in the water,it's a big board you bought

I have a Shapers Dolphin Fin and it really is a great fin. Hands down my fave. In the future if you are looking for something nice but not crazy expensive check out the Shapers fin. You wont be disappointed.

if you have weekdays off and can get to brookvale, Dion Chemicals in Harbored Rd and Surfblanks in West st have a big range of fins at manufacturers prices.

an if you do happen to be in the area, and you have that beasty on the roof, check out the long reef bommie.

This one. Splash out on the volan if you can afford it.

Dude...

That is a nice looking fin. I can definitely see one of those in my future.

Just a matter of looking around till you find something. Ebay, Gumtree ar4e good if your trying to find something you like..
As for new. Shapers are always good and the Dion fins the boys put up are great fins at a great price..

shapers.com.au/box-fins-1/

Or you can go the top of the line jobs from Alkali, Soar, Captain fin, McTavish. Usually hand made.

Even surfstitch is ok when they have a sale on... The TCSS ones are pretty nice fins.

Or the FCS basic ones are pretty cheap all the time.

www.surfstitch.com/category/surf/fins#facets=1002egg:cat40192:2004v:cat40192:2004v:cat40195&page=1&pageSize=100&sortCode=cost

Personally. I'd be going for the biggest one you can find..

Maybe something like this 10.25 Tyler warren or one of the 11" ones from Shapers.

thanks mate. I had a look and see you can't book sites at Point Plomer. Will drive up on the 23rd and see if they have anything left. Otherwise I may have to try and find a site somewhere else or camp in my car
