very nice Herbie.
You may need to apply for a large vessel registation with the RMS before you take her on its maiden voyage.

So is it a 13ft board or a 11ft board bag

I think it would be easier to paddle up the beach than carry it....

And **** everyone else....if they can't dodge a 12/13 ft board ,well they need their eyes checked

Awesome board and can't wait to see the new one

Well the board rocked up.. and its about 4 inches too long for the board bag lol.

Oh well.

Looks great. In good condition

First impressions??

Oh **** what have I done?
Or
What you wanted??

Ha Ha...

Thought one... **** it really is red . Then holy crap its beautiful. I should put it on a wall (wait don't have one big enough...)
Then

- Hmm it is kinda heavy, I will kill someone with this
- Crap - it doesn't fit in the bag (oh well close enough)
- Man I can't wait to get this thing in the water... Gonna need more wax
- I wonder how far I can carry this along Crescent Head beach so I am away from people and don't kill anyone
- Well it is red so no one will see the blood from any victims
- OMG, I may need to go and have a quiet "moment" to myself

they were my first thoughts....

hahahaha.

Looks even better in your photos then the Gumtree ones.

Enjoy mate. Great looking board...

Looks very nice . Don't worry about the length and turning it . You'll get the feel of it and you'll have a huge paddling advantage.

Nice one Herbie, and you did well with the lawn.

I was going to warn you that mac was luring you into a trap, the real tradition around here is not so much the board pic, but being super critical of someone's lawn if there's a weed or a blade of grass out of place.

looks like you snookered him

That lawn is hard core,no sooner have you cut it,it looks like its needs another

So what is the story behind the board bag length

and more importantly did you take it for a spin this afternoon

I was going to comment earlier but the inadequate board bag for such a beautiful board & the grass jungle left me speechless

Seriously though, if you spend 2k on a board, finding a fitting board bag...especially on a long board protects your investment. Keep that one for your HP

A little pissed about the bag..... balin said it was custom made for a client who wanted a 12 foot bag and it was a 10 foot board in the end.

Nice bag but i will need to buy another now. ?

turns out the bag is 11'9" and the board is 12'3".

**** it, close enough for the moment. Its a good bag so if I buy another board I will keep it for that and buy another bag for the beast.

bought two more sticks of wax so good to go (I hope its enough lol )

thanks Mac.

Been a ****ty week with some bad news on two fronts so the thought of a few days in the water on a new board (and no work) is about the only thing holding it together for me at the moment.

I had forgotten how even just the thought of a surf trip could help me to de stress.

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!
