a well deserved ale .... Christ , curry , beer AND red Vino
someone will be Coffs Drop ya Guts King tonight
.... who will be crowned the King
3 more sessions today, conditions weren't the best but we made the best of it, a solid 2-3' for our arvo paddle, geez I could get used to a busy crowd being 6-10 others. Anyway we've been to the pub for a few quiet ones to celebrate our success now back to camp for a few more then off for a curry soon with a bottle of red under our arm.
Totally envious

Well the curry was the shizzzzz but Ob's choice of vino left a bit to be desired, one mouthful was all I could handle & I've never been known to be too fussy.
Off to bed now with the other pensioners in the caravan park & an early rise to see what we can find tomorrow morn.

vanders, you must learn to swill .
i predict there will be no surfing done tomorrow because you've all gone to hard too early.
i expect lots of coffee drinking tho
Yep, like Vanders said, it was a good day, neither of us are too fussy about waves so we take what ever's on offer. Starting at day break we checked out everything from corindi down to, back Emerald ( the north end of Moonee if you, like) before settling on Emerald for a couple of hours. 'twas a much better session than yesterday's at north mulla because although the waves were fewer, they wear longer and better quality. Yesterday's at mulla, we were just being a couple of greedy pigs.
Then at Midday we went in at main beach woopi because no one else was in except a surf school in tiny ankle snappers, and we were worried that it will be the last surf we would get today, and once again we scored heaps of waved all,to ourselves.
Then a late arvo cruise along the beach in vans 4be from flattop to, sandy beach so we could walk over bare bluff to check back sandy before getting on the highway to look at back emerald and deciding it was our best bet for the late arvo wave. Lots of shorties, but we still managed to score a few good sized ones.
Stopped at woopi pub on the way back to cleanse our soles and to make an abusive phone call to MR for having the audacity not to be here this weekend, it was gratifying to know that the surf in Sydney was crap and he was suffering, justice was served.
Then a curry and into the fart sack to do it all again tomorrow
One of the interesting anecdotes from yesterday was when we were with RG in the shaping shed, and it's indicative of the artistry of some people, like RG. He had some little model surfboards layer out on a workbench alongside some colourful resin blocks and a few bits of wood. I said to him " are you making a Diorama" he said "what's a diorama" and I explained how it's like a 3 dimensional picture in a box and he said " yes, but I didn't know that was what they were called" so when we went into the kitchen for a cold drink, there was one hanging on the wall that he had done with the most beautiful composition you could imagine, made up of resin tint windows and fin scraps.
In other words, he just has this artistic ability, without even knowing he has it, or what it is, he just does it, no wonder his boards are so beautiful.

arrrrrrrr, trying to put that little story to bed scotty. is there something you need to tell us.
get you mate blind drunk, he passes out, kick him up the backside, add vase and a bit of tomato sauce around date area- be careful not to actually touch.
watch him wake up from a safe distance and ask him where he went missing last night so legend has it
This morning was probably our worse, but that's only because we made the age old mistake of thinking something else will be better and in the end we went in very close to where we were camped. By that time it was too late and we only got a few of the good ones and then had rubbish, it didn't help that I had the nose rider rather than the all rounder and I had the hatchet in rather than a speed fin. We both paddled for a lot of waves without much joy.
Lfish was already out and had been there for I long time so had got his quota and went home once he saw that it was turning crap.
Vanders has gone and I doubt I will get another surf today, so I may just visit friends and tomorrow go home via Scott's Head if the swell looks promising.
Ted , I have not taken any pics, but Vanders has, so he may post a few when he gets home.
Definite no more surfs today and tomoz looks like a driving day.
Think I may go over to white salt and have another feed of their fish and chips, they really are good.
Completely up in the air at the moment Teddy, I could be passing through as late at midnight or as early at midday, it all depends on what Arra and scotts head have on offer for me.
Ps. God I love these fish and chips
No worries send an sms in the morning when things become more clear. I shall be standing by just in case.
Come on Ted mate ... leave the side window open so the goodly brother Obs can slip in & kip on the boards bottle of cold beer & a snack too
geez sounds a bit like Father Xmas's fare that does actually
Sounds like a nice trip boys, but I did tell ya on the phone, that the forum blokes would think you're both ****s.......
So, in that way, I'm glad I missed it. But the surf here over the weekend was absolute junk...... So in that way I'm sorry I missed it.
April is on the radar for at least SaltWater.,....
Saltwater?
Can't tell ya Chrispy mate, its a secret spot...... but it's not as far from Sydney as PP, but further than Ted's. My Dad lives at Hillville, it's not far from there....
I said that out loud didn't I...... going to stay with the old man, and take a mate with his grommet, plus maybe my nephew.
