mmmmmm ..... hey Johnny Lennon was pretty good in that ... ahhhh geez who am I kidding .... I'm just PMSL
So guys, we're talking Redline or Noserider 10'. Noserider looks the go to me, nice and stable through the nose, possibly bit heavy on the strong, anyone here own/ride one?
Other option is the Walden magic 10' reads/reviews very well as a Noserider/Kneepaddler but it's one of these epoxy/glass hybrid things, and the ideas of a handmade whilst much dearer is rather more romantic...
Anyway, ideas/thoughts/bad puns?
Cheers
I'll just throw in the option of a CW Hotlog here, haven't ridden one myself but have seen Lacey on his & heard enough other good reports about them to not disregard them as an option & will certainly leave a few more bucks in ya pocket. Just saying.........

Haha, ok, where are they shaped? I'm away atm but might do Google tonight...
Local point was solid all wknd and perfect NR conditions found my desire levels for the new ride much increased...
I'd so love to go meet and chat with the shapers up the coast, the local shapers lb's are ****e, to them a long board is a 7'er crazy
Haven't ever heard anthing neetive about Steve Del Rosso. Boards look the business at a reasonable price and good quality.
The Whalebone looks the goods!
Steve will set you in the right direction.

Yes they are very good I hear he is doing a finless model now
Gotta say, pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Walden, @$650 less than the Mctav, and Mctav not really confident on what to recommend...

Believe me it's worth paying the extra very happy with the cruiser .Cruiser wasn't the best choice of name rocket would have been more accurate

i find this post funny
1. $650 less so that means your getting that board very close to $1000.
2. Mctavish not really confident on what to recommend .
my 2 cents
1. i believe you get what you pay for.
2. its not for McT to tell you what to get Ummm you should know or have some idea.
like i said my 2cents
let me entertain you. mac's is pinnacle is a better performer then the cruiser judging by what i've seen mac do.
however i have to say my hotlog is a trimming speed machine thats has got me a sh1t load of waves every session and one of the all time best boards i've ever owned. it ia capable of moves if setup right too
cheers

I disagree - if you are putting down that much coin - McT should at least have some confidence in recommending a board from their range - otherwise they should offer to make you a custom or send you to someone who can. Or if what you are asking for is not a practical solution for what they think you want then they should point out the reasons why in a nice manner and then take your cash.
I would think that McT would do the right thing though.
no, the thread title has a question mark- that means it open to discussion. the cw hotlog is a performer at a cheaper price.
is the mct going to go hundreds of dollars better?.

shizz that's the Prez Brother asea on the left
Hahaha, WHOA, sorry for stirring da **** hahaha... guys... lets be cool...
So, lets just clear up a few things:
I already own a custom Mct Bobsled, and freakin LOVE that thing, flies on heavy waves so i know these guys are awesome.
Mct have been way helpful, i'm being difficult:
1) I want a nose rider, so cruiser is no good.
2) I want a knee paddler and at 84kg, the Pinnacle don't go big enough
3) The MCT Noserider would work with the above but seems its a bit heavy on the turn for our points, designed for lazy Noosa points so they say but this is probably the go by their rec, gonna have a chat to Dave tmrw, surfed all wknd kept missing him...
And... those CW's sound freakin sick too... but i'm in Tas and coming from WA will cost muchos deniros...
Yes, the Walden is a GSI, at $1500 delivered!!! (Mct are talking $2k plus $160 post) for a 10', 23 1/2, 3 1/4, it ticks all the performance boxes, has nothing but awesome reviews, designed for Nose ride, thats what Walden was all about, enough volume for knee paddle and turns great... problem is i want a glass custom not x2 hybrid pop out blah blah blah but maybe i need to get over that, if i was in Ventura U.S.A. i'd be sorted...
its all about the search, i'm being a fuzzy old prick but you don't get a new shtick every day so i'm going with it...
Peace
