If its new to you and came wrapped, its possible you cut the board with a knife
I used to build boards years ago and was away on holiday surfing Mount Maunganui on my 8'4" and got a fin into my board through to the EPS foam. It got me back on the water and thinking I'll do a proper repair but its lasted 10 years
No affiliations but so easy to use, bit of sanding and preparation under shade then tape clear plastic over and put in the sun to go off
SOLAREZ Epoxy repair putty is a mixture of clear, high strength, fiber reinforced epoxy resin and an amazing solar activated catalyst. There is no mixing required, just use it right from the tube. It gels in 5 seconds, curing in 3 minutes - but ONLY when exposed to sunlight.
Thanks
What fin or fins are you using on the 10'6" Munoz? This is the one I have.
Nice looking fin mate what size is it? I go naked finless is the go

I know you go naked but we won't go there will we?Fin is 9"
Do you SUP, or know anyone that does?
My 11' came with similar damage out of the box. I took a section of 'rail tape' and placed that over the damage, assuming I'll get it fixed one day.... maybe I will, maybe I wont?
I've also used SolaRez and a different variation on other boards - and never had an issue.
Here's my take, for what it's worth: If it's minor damage, solarez will definitely do the job, but if you plan on a professional repair later, they've got to then remove said solarez. A bit of rail tape (or Puka Patch, which is pretty much the same thing) will protect from water ingress, and be easier for the professional to deal with down the track. That said, you've then got to be Ok with there being a (clear) tape patch on the board.
My surf bucket - along with all kinds of accumulated crap - has both a tube of solarez and a collection of patches in the bottom, somewhere.
Re: fins. The legend I bought my 10'6" from tried numerous set ups and settled on the 9" 4A. I also tried numerous set ups, inc the fins off my 11', but also settled on the 9" 4A - even in the same spot where the seller used it.

Thanks Damned.
Job completed . Can't be happier about the job.
That's great how about you mention who fixed it

Of course Gold Coast Surf Repairs. Jimmy is his name a top bloke , he's at Ashmore. 2 days.
Are you going to pony up a ride report?
Sure will Damned but unfortunately I have done something to my lower back, on the mobic hopefully it will get me going.
Best of luck with your back - the temperamental bastards that they are.
I hurt mine in a car accident a few years back. Never had a back issue until then, and can cripple me now. Interestingly, or perhaps not interesting at all, I actually find that surfing helps mine. Must be something to do with working the core and stretching out the muscles or something.
