when its strong offshore most of the shaper's design skill and fabrication skill , goes straight out the window any way .

a 15 nt offshore breeze coupled with the apparent wind generated by the speed of the wave , add some chop , equals ...........lift off !!! as most boards need some nose rocker, up she goes with the wind .

Roy , may be you need to incorporate some kind of down draft aerodynamics in the noses for big waves in strong offshore conditions .

I, ll only want 50 percent of profits made for that tip old fellow .

thats great for take off.
but what happens when you're speeding along the face.

The fact is no attention is paid to aerodynamics, why do you think that the nose on my 16-021 looks like it does? Aerodynamics is one of the main reasons.

The features which I've described, plus more weight and better nose shapecure that problem even with 35 knots plus apparent wind.

so, now we are getting down to the critical design concept for large offshore conditions ................. is the nose shape developed yet or not ?

radical reverse rocker in the in the first one foot running into normal nose rocker from there back ??

Yes it was developed 20 years ago and is the nose you see on the board I'm making. Nose shape is only part of the solution though.

i don't know you, but you always seem to post on a lot of the different forums I read and there's a couple of things I dont quite understand. It's a running theme, so I hope you might be able to clear some issues up for me!

you post on open forums about surfboard designs but can never take or accept constructive critisim. Instead choose to "throw" abuse or try to question other forum members intelligence. Knowledge or credentials!

you also promote the performance aspects of your boards and fins, but on the other hand personally discredit any progressive style of surfing post the 70's. Preferring, as shown in your many own online videos, to go straight, stand in one place ( never seen you cross step) and "sort of turn".

theres also the topic of your million dollar board. Again, plugging it on any and all online forums and websites, but when the question comes up about the sale; dead silence! Rumour mill has it that it went to a pharmaceutical executive for an undisclosed amount! I heard you sold it to "x" the synthetic drug manufacturer?
since you don't take drugs yourself and the sale infact did go ahead, is there any feeling of "conflict of ideals" or happy with the money grab!

if you could sort these questions out for me in a non-trolling manner, it would help me appreciate and understand your posts a little bit better

what part is nonsense? the part about the board you "sold"?

the part about constructive criticism?

the part about you going STRAIGHT in your online videos?

or the other parts?

I vaguely remember someone from hawaii talking about the ridiculous amount of rocker these boats have, can't quite remember his name though.
