Show Us Your Quiver - April 2018 Update.

Wow, lots of interesting reading on here !

I'm staying away from that and sticking to the script; surfing and surfboards.

It's been a while since we've had an update on our boards SB so I thought being the board whore that I am that I'd get things started with my lot.

The most recent change was the sale of my 11' Micky Munoz Surftech, purchase of a 9'8 Custom McTavish Redline and an 8'6 Carabine Kong Model on order.

Let's play nice and draw a line in the sand and hopefully this can kick start something good.

(Excuse the SUP's in the longboard forum, my wife and I both ride them when the conditions suit and with some of our local waterways being perfect for them, why wouldn't you have a couple).

The blue tints on the Liberty Foils are both absolutely amazing too. If you want some more shots I'm happy to send some over.

Welcome back and I'm got nothing after that. You obvious document each board because remembering that is too much.

I haven't taken a resent quiver shot in over a year but will try over the weekend I've done some serious damage to my good arm late yesterday at work so may not be able to take the shot.

My mates a paramedic he said rest it, put it in a sling, ice it, take some pills and drink heaps of alcohol nothing broken just a tear or something like that.

Classic collection there ,whats the board after the sun ova eco tech,light blue job,looks nice,how does it go.Do you reckon you'd ride every board in your quiver in a year,I have 10 boards but only ride about 4,might be time to cull or dust em off and surf them.

It's a Jackson 6'5 from 1973'ish.

It was was my wife's Mum's board (she passed away in 1976) which I had restored for Bec's 40th a couple of years back.

I can honestly say either Bec or I have ridden every board in the last 12 months. Maybe a couple only once but yes.

If if I had to choose one board to keep or travel the world with it'd be the red triple stringer 10'4 Carabine. It's amazing in any conditions or size.

What's that really say about this forum given the pages of banter (non surf related) in other topics ?

There has to be legit Surf forums elsewhere ? Maybe merging with the other room is valid ?

I had a couple of the diamond tails about 20 years ago. They were 2 5/8 thick though.

I loved the performance but ultimately snapped both. I chased up Nigel that last trip and this one was in the shop at Kirra. 9'0 x 23 x 3 1/8 and glassed 6x6x6 so I grabbed it.

Awesome Mac. The speed and hold through the bottom turn with a distinct release is something I'd forgotten the feel of. I had it in great waves a few weeks back at McMasters on the Central Coast and it blew my mind with how well it performed.

The funny thing is I rode it in 1-2 footers a couple weeks back and it nose rode better than most of the old skill boards too !

This board retails at HSD in Kirra for $895. An absolute steal and realistically worth another $300 easy given all she has going for her.

I have 1 Board, SDR Hotlog 10", its about 6 years old and beaten up to the sh1tters but it surfs unreal, its had a ton of waves and I f*ckn love that board... I am getting a 6'4" Fish and a 7"6" Shaped and that will be a complete quiver.

I'm a minimalist and personally I just find that sort of excess a bit offensive. And its clearly over compensating for a lack of.... .... .... .... ....

And no, i'm not sh1t stirring, I mean every word of that 100%

There is nothing wrong with being passionate about surfboards.
I've got 7 most overlap but I love them all, some people say its a waste
but how can passion and love be a waist

Cleared up GOOD,lets see some quiver images.

Out of all the different tails on your boards mate,What tails seem to hang in the turns better do you reckon

I've just ridden square tails for years and find them good but thinking of changing to area pin or round tail for my new one,not sure yet


"Not many comments" Yeah isn't it funny how the top of the table of knowledge won't talk about and comment on really nice surfboards but are quick to tell ya what you are doing wrong or jealous though
