I would like a 10' all arounder. No noserider of glider. Thinking something like a fireball squaretail planshape type of thing.

I guess because lately with kids, work, helping set up my wifes business it hasn't left me a lot of water time. SO thinking a ten footer would be good with a decent amount of volume to use upto 3 ft type of thing.

I do have crossover but everyone's quiver has some sort of crossover. I like boards and if I see one I like and have the money, I buy it.

The noserider and Mackie are co-op boards with a good friend.

So what you are looking at is a general surfer thats a decent wave pig for when your outta the water too much... I reckon thats a tricky thing to shape and get it right really... you might be better staying shorter, around 9' and going thicker/wider for the paddling, I know those Waldens are massive wave pigs and you dont need to go as long which means better turning and no need to walk the board...

I've got a 10 x 23 1/4 x 3 1/8 catches heaps and runs the line well just picked up a 9.6 x 23 1/4 x 3 1/4 similar thinking to want you just said Andy haven't surfed it yet but should be good and I fattened the tail as well.

Your 10' is basically the same dims as my HotLog, board goes unreal and is a real easy wave catcher. Its a great Noserider and has decent speed but you definitely need to walk up to trim and back to turn, but I like that... I'd love one in a 9'6" with your dims as a 2nd log as I do find that 10" is more board than I need, maybe 3" thick though as I find you have to nurse turns a bit much once you get over 3" or its easy to catch the rail, slightly shorter also means you can take off steeper and later as well which is more fun, I find 10's and over you have to take off more on the shoulder...

Yeah, I find 10' a LOT of board, waves would need to be pretty flat to accommodate these 11-12' boards but that what they are shaped for, gliding on unbroken waves...

Unless you are Ryan Burch of course, but that guy surfs AMAZING...

Sugar gone???? What the? Mate I'm disappointed, was really looking forward to a couple of 11'ers sharing a few waves, now nothing..........

Shoulder's going ok, will still be at least another 6 weeks plus before I can even think of hitting the water, to be honest I've not missed it, I just convinced myself I wasn't going to be able to do it for a while so just put it out of my head and have been busy with work and other stuff, I think I'll be a bit tentative on my return, paranoid I'll try to early and re-damage it.

6 weeks thats not too long now, go with what the surgeon says about getting back into it but I'd be saying take it easy and build some strength before you start going nuts again

You should bring them down to the vintage surfboard meet at the Bicheno Food and Wine festival... Its a great event with some beautiful boards... plenty of buyers around too.

My neighbour has a few really nice Tern boards too, he's quite the collector.

In the past they have run the Bicheno board show the week before we run the NWBR show.Makes it hard to get to both but would love to get over there this year. . put the tern and fresh juice up for sale last week on fFacebook tassie board sales .Having second thoughts in selling them both but have another old tern - which has been stripped , sitting in the shed and another kneeboard I have just started a rebuild on .only have room for about 14 boards in my board racks so figure if I can't display them or use them - pass them on to someone that can

Nice lot of old shooters Tassie, I like the old retros myself and have a few & have stuck with one local iconic maker in Coffs Harbour, USA ex-pat Bob Cooper although most were shaped by another ex pat Richie West..
