Good to see it finally underway. Looks like Australia got off to a good start then fell apart. Good to see MJ back to his best

I reiterate Pups earlier cursing of Brad Haddin and his butter fingers...****ing MJ needs to go to plan B on decks as lifeless as one of Cobra's dates

Who gives a fk,today is all about the absolute flogging Queensland gave those poor sorry sad Blues last night.

A game that should shut those smart arse cocky Blues players up for a very long time.

The only ashes I see today are those of the blue kind who were well and truly burnt last night.

Now carry on with your Ashes thread

Haddin is a spud who is cooked geez even Rhoda Rottenbox would have snaffled that offering half asleep at some dingy Techno bar it does not look good so far losing the big Queenslander is going to hurt bad

Cobra - like I normally say MJ is an over rated hoax. Plays well occasionally but has about as much consistency as your local waves

Look I will be barracking for the Poms for sure Australia should win with Steve Smith and Mitch Stark the game winners. Warner will chip in with 3 centuries and Rogers a healthy average in the mid forties. Ryan Harris a loss. The Duke ball and greasy conditions should favour England. Realistically though the Aussies have a much better team on paper.

Early banter in the tabloids and the crowd

i can see where this thread is heading

with Ted at the helm of the good ship slag the australians.

as i sit on the Aussie dock and watch the slag the Australias boat being loaded with sheep and think its funny how these sheep follow the kiwi captan into the back stalls where they get a right old shafting and not know it.

And by the 4th you were . Long way to go though. As Australia hold the Urn this really just squares things up now.

Lords is far more suited to the Australian's. Cardiff was a lifeless pitch, so come Lords I expect the Aussie's to win and win well, just so long as the weather doesn't become England's 12th man.

At 1 all, we'll then see who has the minerals.

had to laugh at one of the aussie pace attack digging one in short

it just p00fed up into the air and sat there waiting to be smashed to the shortest of boundaries.

Sh!tty soft pom pitches with that fark"n duke ball.

our pace guys will always struggle on those soft pitches and never get enough time with the duke.

wish we had Pigeon still bowling line & length line & length with a little leg cutter at lords.
