Morning Nozza and all you longboarders, midlengthers and 666ers who keep this room ticking over.
I need to get in the ocean soon, but suspect tomorrow will be better in terms of holiday madness.

Morning Noz, morning all.
Been a massive couple of weeks here.
Split with the missus after 12 years, organising my new joint and moving out, etc etc.
I've got framed pics of Lopez at Pipe, MP, AI, Bells and G land ready to go on the walls.
The boards have got a good spot, there's a kettle for cuppas, a stereo, toaster and a tele - and I tell ya what - I'm happier than I have been in a long time.
Thank faaark for the ocean and thank faaark for surfing.

Another cracking morning ....nothing special besides waking up and all bits and bobs are working ..

Well done Mr mango on being stoked.

I think we sometimes make being happier harder than what it really is , and you summed up how little it takes

Make the grass greener where we stand ,instead of hoping to find it somewhere else ..

the dalai chrispy

Big energy,big smiles....big bless

Enjoy the day ****bags

Got nothing that good, but as some of you know I have been battling depression since 2012 - probably had it much earlier but work and alcohol blunted it.
Over the years, the number and strength of antidepressants I have been taking has increased.
Got to early December, and I decided I really couldn't feel any worse. Didn't get any enjoyment out of doing anything.
Couldn't get in the water, apart from contemplating a long last swim.
Christmas nearly finished me.
Decided the drugs needed to go.
Since Christmas I have gone from 6 drugs a day to one, which I will wean off next week.
OK, two - Coopers Sparkling still features strongly.
I don't feel any worse, and as time goes on I am feeling better.
Withdrawals have been pretty severe, and lucky I think sleeping at night is highly over rated.
I'm making the grass greener where I stand thanks Chrispy. I like that analogy, if that's what it is called.

Good on you Noz.
Sounds like you've been on a hell of a journey this past decade man. Geezus mate.
It's great to know you're feeling stronger with every day man - I think we've all been nipped, barked at or totally savaged by the black dog at some stage and you're right, a lot of crew probably just try to ignore it. Which doesn't work.

2020 - what a dog of a year eh.

So, here's cheers to the stoke of the Glide, laying it on rail, massive cutties, trimming the high line, soul arches (in the barrel), Seabreeze and having a beer, a feed and a good laugh!

(And don't worry about the fridge Noz - I bought one this arvo, and it'll be stacked with icy cold Coopers Pales very shortly).

Yo!!!!

And if you're ever in doubt- just put on The Life Aquatic - or anything with Bill Murray in it

Feeling good!
