What a flog of ****, no crowd COVID event lol. Like the Pipe Masters lol.
Yeh it's pretty bad mac...more so disappointing then bad.
Big esky on the balcony and all is good
I've been working at the magic millions the amount of people who are ripping the rules apart is ****ed, like the Brisbane folks who ****ed off before lockdown it's a joke.
Just downloaded a program called TUBI. It's a free platform for movies with z grade movies and actors you've never heard of and probably never will. It's free because it has ads the same as commercial tv.
However there are quite a few good surfing movies worth a watch. Recommended.

Cool...I downloaded one (app) off google play simply called "old movies"(also free)...watched a few but got Netflix, currently watching "The Office" funny as
This ride by Justine Dupont (better resolution in the first vid, more of other surfers in the second one) .... and a nice clip of some jetskiers getting a fright.

The whole north shore has been nuts and this is the one time I am Stoked at how quickly I have got to see it all..thanks internet...for now
Settling in for the evening with some of Occy's ( & Jack McCoy's) more highbrow ouvre.
A fine selection if I do say so myself.
Fetch me the vegemite and cheese salada garcon!
I watched this a few days ago.
About women's pro surfing in the 80s & 90s mainly. Inspirational for girls to get into surfing.
I am not a big movie watcher as I fall asleep most of the time....but,I watched the green book and thoroughly enjoyed it
Have been listening to Don Shirley's music for the past couple of weeks ...fantastic
The real GOAT...
Yep.
Yep! Great fun clip that SP, I watched it on the TV over lunch. I wonder if Tom does yoga. My joints creak watching how fluid he is.

As soon as I see him surf it makes me want to get waves ...does he do yoga,no idea, but he has some magic that yoga does not seem to give me
The bloke oozes so much style and it seems like it only gets better with time
He is my goat that's for sure
Footage from this session blew my tiny mind back in 1994 ... and as if it didn't already make me feel old, the presenter here, film-maker Sonny Miller, died from a heart attack in 2016, aged 54.
Enjoy the day before it enjoys you, people. (Greeney for Longboarder of the Year 2022.)
Great clip Greeney - one of the all time classics.
I read Tim Baker's book - The Rip Curl Story last year and that session goes down as one of THE all-time greats that Claw and Sing Ding had put together on the Indies Trader.
Reading through the people involved in the Search makes the mind swirl - Derek Hynd, Gary (don't call me Kong) Elkerton, Frankie Oberholzer, Neil Campbell, Wayan Suwenda (one of Indo's pioneering surfers), and Ted Grambeau, who in the book reckons watching Curren on the Tommy Peterson fish was one of the great moments in surfing. And who could argue.
Watching that clip again just blows my tiny mind.

Cheers, MangoDingo. I grew up on the Sunny Coast when Gary E was a grom. It seemed like there was about five minutes between him picking up a board and being a world-class athlete. Fearless and creative, one of those guys who draws lines that not everyone can imagine. Hope you got some today.

I watched some of the old search movies..still so amazing...made my eyes smile
Worth a watch. Funny stuff
Originally recommended about 8 weeks ago...the first 20 to 25 mins literally had me laughing my ass off, I was tearing up it was so funny...but then the gears changed when they felt they had you & a lot of opinions presented as factual truth soured the show & they stomped the propaganda gas pedal...ultimately ending with a couple of statements I personally strongly disagree with...
I do agree though, the first 20 to 25 mins is hilarious. What makes it extra interesting is Mr Jacksons personal beliefs vs the character he was paid to present here & that says a lot about what you hear these days. But in the end as always, yes its best to think for yourself...
