First surf since I got here - then again it's the first time I have had a board that would sort of go in wind slop. But of fun. Best waves I have had in a week and a half.

Looks awesome Ted

Surfed the local this morning, was onshore early, swung offshore for an hour while I was there & the odd decent set waves came through. Good fun with just a couple of 666's. Then the wind kicked in fairly strong cross shore. So I popped in & traded the LB for the 6'2 drifter & surfed on my own for another hour....got bloody cold in my springy, I was like wtf time of year is this meant to be again

cold water (16deg), only one break working due to the NE wind ... Holiday crowd... but is has been a circus to watch ...some super funny stuff happening.
Drop ins, snaking, abuse, party waves, etc etc .. and yet still managed a few good lefts. Life is good (but can somebody pleeeaaaase turn the hot water tap back on in the ocean )

Pretty thick with a lot of water moving about.

Was hard to find where to sit to snag one. Even then it was generally a yellow funnel into the chiropractors chair.

Unfit made it unfun out there as well

Can't start it until the missus goes back to work because she does not like her car getting covered in dust in the driveway, and she won't let me park it up the road.

Even then, she only works on Sundays so I'm going to need to be really quick.

Yeah 40 degrees here yesterday with 16 degree water..
Too hot on land and cold as in the water..

Happens every few years.

Swellnet put an article up yesterday.
