I went out today in some very weak dribble . Got a couple but it really wasn't worth getting wet . It's supposed to get up in size over the next few days so fingers crossed
Managed to get in 2 hours out the front here Friday - good fun .
No surf Saturday - 4 meter white pointer chased 3 boogie boarders out of the water so decided to give it a miss
Today flat
My last surf for the winter Sunday - ****ing cold - 1 st surf for the year in the hooded vest / sharkskin booties - still suffered the numb toes for about 2 hours after .
1 st surf of spring last night - water already feeling about 10 degrees warmer
Have had a few surfs but the banks have been pretty bad. Had a few decent swells and hoped it might shift some sand around to form good banks but it's been ordinary
Surfed this morning at Burleigh - around 2nd and 3rd ave. Had an absolutely cracker of a session. One of my best this year, I reckon. Mind you, I did take the 12' Munoz out, so that always helps.
Got some nice little waves today . My first day in rashie and boardies but still a bit chilly . Been surfing a bit but the banks haven't been great
Got out yesterday and some good overhead sets but a bit windy . Went out earlier this morning to find it smaller and low tide but as the tide came it it picked up a little and got better . Pretty happy with that
Been crap here for days but I went for a look early this morning and it looked like it was getting better so I went home and got my board and stuff and went out . It got better as the tide dropped and picked up a bit so it was worth it
Bigger today with some infrequent overhead sets but big crowd as well . Sat outside and just waited for the bigger ones . It was worth it . I can't imagine what the holiday crowds are going to be like next month . I'll just have to pick my times to go out
More onshore dribble today . Not worth it . Heading out west tomorrow to fish and hike and relax for a week . Got another week off after that so hopefully will get some waves then and hopefully my new board might arrive
