Went out before first light at Batu Bolong. It was a bit fat at low tide and the swell was a little more than the place can handle as the clean up sets were close outs. Surfing my 9'1" short board at this place for the last 5 days makes me so glad I took up surfing a few years ago. The waves can be complete **** for the next week in Kuta and it will have been worth lugging the boards over. Will definitely be back!

I am going back to the beach to surf 2ft clean beachies. Should have gone out earlier but I looked at it, the sun was still hiding, mist coming off the waves as they hit the shoreline and the world cup semi was on. So I came home to watch the final 20 mins. Back out there now

Blowing a gale up.here.....was watching a whale play just past the shoreline for.a.while. That was pretty cool very small.as.well.
More big north for the next few.days. Shame about the swell.as.you can see it going by the horizon

I love winds from the North - we have two beachies that are offshore in the N and absolutely love it. Especially with the almost constant SE swell we have had recently. No complaints here what so ever

Looks like some big chunks will be coming through this morning. Time to wax up the big board by the look of it. Its game on this morning.

Disappointing morning here. Loads of swell and great winds - but a very high tide and some of the spots that you hope should be working are not getting the swell into them. The beachies are too big unless you like to cop a good hiding every now and again. I think it will be great in a few hours as the tide heads out and a few of the spots I love start to work. Sadly I have a meeting in the City at 11am so thats it for me today This is the type of swell where you wish you had a nice long right hand point break in front of your house !

Today, after surfing Bells, I went to the Supermarket for some milk... At my car, a middle aged lady approached me, softly spoken, and asked for my help. She needed some money for petrol, so she could go to a refuge in Geelong, and she had left her abusive partner with her dogs, and the clothes on he back... Bruises around both eyes, and side of forehead... I gave her $12, and she was very thankful. You could tell in your gut, that she was in "crisis mode"...

Check out North Narrabeen this morning, on day break! Sweet!

That place is barrel city when its like that - it is also hard to get a wave with your amount of ex world champs and hot surfers out there dominating the take off spot. No one every falls off so you can scrap the extras ! And do not get in the way or you might find yourself in a bit of pain But its still worth it

Yes I understand LL - hope you find some good ones tom with little crowd factor. Maybe take a run down the coast to another right hander.

Here are a few take by Uge at aquabumps of Scotty's local. It was pumping everywhere today.

Left home at 4:15am spent 6 plus hours in the water, did over 450kms and just got in the door. Great day out. Even ran into a seabreezer in the water. Wicked day of waves. If I had to complain it was just that I could not do this yesterday when it was a bit bigger. Hope you all got your fill. I am knackered and ready for bed Saw a young goofy foot girl get a very very long ride on her backhand today - she looked in shock as she did 5 nice top turns down the line. When she finally falls off she is just screaming with delight - and as it happens her dad was on the wave behind and when he flicked off he was just as stoked for her. She smiled all the way back out whilst screeching at "how sick that wave was." She got a couple of other good ones as well. I saw them in the carpark later on and she was the most stoked surfer I had come across in a very long time. It was great to see. Absolutely frothing.
