Must have been some waves around this morning.

How are the banks?

Metro dawn patrol - not many at sunrise but geez it fills up fast. A bit of size.

Managed a couple, missed a couple just being a nice bloke and respecting the inside and giving blokes the benefit of the doubt. Very un-metro surfer of me I thought

Fun waves if you pick the right one

Tried my southern 666 (fat) point break as the swell was up a bit, but it dropped a bit quick. Bit tricky on a short board.
Dodging the crowd wasn't fun, either.. and seemed to be a different crowd than the last cruisey one I encountered.
Bit cooler out there today??

Surfed Trigg Point last night in a howling onshore. Crowded, choppy, crap!

What was cool though was seeing one surfer pick up a large mulloway with his bare hands out of the whitewash. Must have been 70 or 80 cms long.

That's something you don't see every day...

Less swell and same crowd today at metro beach dawn patrol.

Usual monkeys in the lineup, have to laugh at the drop ins etc..classic!

Got a few little peelers on the fish, water was beautiful, air temp was not

Yep was a bit crisp to say the least but worth a quick hit out.

At least the water would have felt extra warm to defrost you feet from the sand

Yep - I had an RDO lined up but called it off last night when I saw it was not going to be special...

Hoping for a handful of waves amongst all the other weekend warriors tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Went down late thinking it would be ****e and scored a bag full of fun waves before the wind killed it... it was a bit crowded but over half the people out there could not surf well. I saw a bit of carnage that unfortunately resulted in some dings... and apparently some bloke snapped his board just before I got there... must have been very unlucky because it was not that big...

Four plus hours of punchy, dredging nuggets with a couple of mates. Exceeded expectations by a long shot.

Yeah it was fun mate, not as good as it gets but it was orright. Was surfing with one of the world's top kneelos, bit sobering when you reckon you're doin alright and you get to see what it's really all about. The man shreds!!
