Good! 'cos there's been no decent banks for bloody weeks...

Well I was out for a long while following my exotosis op (Surfer's Ear), so only been on the hunt since mid March...
biggest i've seen leighton
breaking a loooong way out
saw some one trying to kite trigg - good luck on that swell and a direct on shore!
Don't panic on my behalf Breezers!
I got out for an hour of smashing joy. I will sleep well tonight.
Tomorrow will be crap.
Today is crap. Yesterday too. I managed one good turn in a couple of hours, the rest was just takeoffs and fat faces.
The point was quite reasonable at 12.30ish, with no-one out...? I couldn't be tempted though I now regret it of courses.
Everywhere I looked was super short chop and fatness. Any underlying swell was buried under a million irregular chop peaks. Still got a few turns in but it almost wasn't worth it. As expected weed has hit in a big way. Either no leggie or massive tangles, all up and down the coast around here. We need some south to get rid of it and that's not really on the table.
Big thumbs up to the guy who'd collected a bucket full of plastic rubbish on his way back to the car post surf. I don't do that enough.
I'm happy to report that the spot I visited today was pumping! Let's give it a 7/10. The crew in the water were very cool for the most part with only the odd blatant drop in going down. Most unexpected from the international make-up. Thanks to you all
I be feeling v sick tomoro Dr has recommended salt water therapy..........yeeeeeeeeewwwww good Dr this bloke
So it does happen up that way huh? saw this on a surf report only a couple of days ago in perth. hope some of you guys scored this, it's been crap further south.
I've been getting a fair bit of wet time recently. And I'm not alone, except for reporting on here...
North Mullaloo is choked with weed... from the point right down passed the southern car park. I sat between two patches and picked up a couple of shoulder high lefts with about 3-4 others, but largely it was poo.
Had some nice waves at a northern beach on Saturday, pumping
Had the same at a southern beach. Much better swell than forecast, and the wind even swung offshore for a couple of hours. Uncrowded, glassy walls and a happy lineup.
Almost forgot I was in Perth there for a minute!

Yea I was shocked at how good it was. Banks were the best Ive seen them in a while. Not too many people either
There are some strange people out there.
Saturday:
- a guy in boardies. Not suba. This guy has been in boardies all year so far. I think he was out on Friday as well.
- a guy bodysurfing with a handplane, at one of the rippier breaks on the coast with shallow rocks.
- a guy on a foam board with no fins and a fishy template???
- some novice girls
It was random 3'+ wind waves with a few second interval and 20kt+ onshores. None of those things make sense to me.

So, did you get a few?
No. I rarely have a good day in those super short conditions. Took off on quite a few but most just turn straight into fat mushburgers. I'm not good enough to find all the corners that some of my peers do.
I did slightly better on Sunday. But not much.
It's still amusing paddling around in conditions like Friday/Saturday. I heard my timing was off and Friday was better earlier. Saturday hard work all day. Sunday probably best early.
