I was thinking snorkelling...
What a bad BAD run of conditions... never seen such a long patch of truly poor conditions in 30yrs of surfing metro...
Get into the swimming boys... otherwise your chicken arms will let you down in the next swell...
Been doing some indoor rock climbing, better than the gym!!
Dont worry about my chicken arms its my emu legs that concern me
Took the beach rod down to a piece of coast I have not fished yet and found a perfect little spot.
Hooked something sizey only to pull the hooks then my mate landed a fiesty bronze whaler......I have found what I am going to do over the swell-less break!

We're gonna need to start thinking about it - it's week 12 of absolute Sh!t conditions (metro).
Just can't bring myself to get into one of the 'wind' water sports... being a surfer for 30yrs I just have a mindset that when the winds in its no good... so I swam 2km of laps instead to keep the shoulders moving...
good waves new years eve and new years day, might be some this weekend too
Legion, B.R`s been going off lately......
Decent size waves this morning... problem was it too choppy as hell! Being a beginner, thought I'd still give it a shot. After 1/2hr, nah better off heading home and studying for me med exam instead of being thrown around for next 2hrs catching nothing! =D
yesterday was allright 3', 4' on the sets, today`s smaller, lotsa people out enjoying themselves. saw me young bloke get his first cover-up.....woot he got smashed by a good set too..gotta pay ya dues hahaha, i asked him how he felt...he recons he said a little prayer lol.
now for something completely different (apologies to Monty Python)
given surfing is ****e in wa summer
snowboarding in japan is a great alternative
had epic powder for 10/7 straight in hakuba and myokogen
no one around during the week, fresh powpow nearly everyday
a few runs are like surfing a 400m wave bottom turn - slash or ollie off the top
great family holiday all can do and have fun
BIG THURSDAY
that has got to be the quickest swell to hit and go.from 7am at 2.5 metres peaked at 5.5metres at 11 am and back down to 3 metres at 7pm!
