Tiny little clean metro beach peaks this morning. Same forecast as Tuesday but twice as many people out (still not many!), the crew must have been as desperate as me and my mate!

Still a good way to start the day..

Hows the ever evolving forecast for the weekend. A good chance to sharpent the Synoptic Chart reading skills and ignore the pre-made forecast!

Looking at the charts they're about as complex as they get around here. No wonder the forecast keeps changing. I'll bet the charts are too. I'll have to concentrate hard on Sally Ayhan's report tonight. What a shame.

The poontang is the only reason anyone watches the weather on tv these days. The blondie on the other channel is the goods I reckon.

Finally had the time to hit this spot up again and the conditions were good. Buster joined me (good to catch up again) as did a friendly sea lion that just had to sit right in the lineup near the end of the ride which was putting Buster off a bit. About half way through the session Buster got a fright, at the end of his ride he went to hop back on his board to paddle back out not realising the sea lion was under it, the sea lion then popped out from under his board and surfaced scaring the sh1t out of him and in the process he kicked the reef and sliced the bottom of his foot open. (Not too bad luckily)

I tried to convince him to sit further down the line away from me after that but he wouldn't have it, so he just bled next to me for the next hour.

This big girl also paid us a visit, the photo doesn't do it justice the fin was nearly two feet high.

Was that at your spot or on the way, Zuke? Wonder if it was the same one buzzing all the tag receivers lately ...

I had a look at a guys 6'4 Skud in the surf today, looked like a very nice board...wish I didn't have to pay 2 loads of shire rates soon or I'd grab that 6'2 myself

Hey Dave will your shop be open next Saturday 31st? I've like cracked the glass around an FCS plug & have no idea how to fix the damn thing

It sure was smicko. It was a bit windy at first and I sat in the boat rocking around for about 30 minutes before hopping in then the wind backed right off to a glass off for the next couple of hours or so. That pic is how I left it, was hard to leave but I was spent.

Never thought I would surf a board under 6.0. This is a 5,11 and it paddled like a 6,4

Went nice but the waves were a bit small so the real test is tomorrow

Nice board.

I surfed a northern beachie on the mal. A bit small and inconsistent, but still managed to score a dozen or so fun sized waves in an hour - two of which were chest/shoulder that ran all the way to the beach...

Very.. I thought the rails might be a bit boxy but it seemed to go well. Perfect for small stuff. Might do a wander north and have a look tomorrow
