Some bombs this morning locally, got a couple of nice ones on my bigger shorty, leaving the fish at home was a good call (except when I had to duck dive )

Yeah same was surfing a bigger board. Hit Me---ms as was worried about duck diving. Got a few really nice waves. I threw in the Knusbster fin hoping it might help turning and was pleasantly surprised. Even for a old fashioned kook like myself. It was hard to work out were to sit with the current and only stayed a short while. Watched Toms on way home and it looked good, but honestly not many waves getting caught

Theres still a decent of swell out there.

Checked there earlier JB, didnt look too good, maybe should have waited a bit longer to make the call!

Certainly has been a good run of swell, the low pressure systems are just firing out of south atm

^ must've been a good week up Indo way.

Heading there at the end of the month, hopefully the swell keeps running.

Beautiful day, pulled the springy back out...& was anywhere not cranking today

Had the funniest run in with a chick on a 666'er. She comes paddling across in front of me & cops a set wave on the head,
her board just misses me & she comes up asking if I'm alright. I say I'm ok, but its probably better for her to move over
where its less sucky/easier. She tells me I should go over there...then I see her get drilled a few more times as the wind
turns crap. I go in & see her get hammered by a 5 wave set before I come home & pour myself a beer. Life is good

after a day at work anxiously looking at wind direction, used my brains and found a sweet protected swell magnet for an arvo sesh. Hey Mick, did you hit a popular point this morning? Stupidly, I had a look on the way to the Dream Factory, hope you scored bro.

Phew, 18 hours in seven days. And I couldn't surf Sunday. I'll be glad to have a couple of days rest. Few kooks today on a rapidly fading swell but a golden hour with just ol' grizzly Adams. Got crowded later but it must have been small. The crowds have been thick lately. Wednesday was out of control. Lots of them (local?) groms who should know better.

^LOL mate I'm on the end of my tether with 666'ers, almost as much as GB
But there was like 3 of us catching waves & another 5 floaters. I was pretty chilled
& didn't speak to her with attitude or nuthin. I was seriously just offering advice lol
Ended up saying WTF, ****off & thought well, if your going to paddle inside me & go
its party wave time. No need though, she was too busy getting hammered......

@Bakesy nah just Nth of there from 1300, had heaps of appointments in the AM......
Good it obviously wasn't you who had the home invasion earlier this week. Read a
story in the coastal times about a bloke in our area with a surname similar to your UN
that had fought off an intruder with a knife while his 2 young sons were hidden in the
backroom...Luckily they got the scumbag too...not cool, rare for down here

Today was awesome! I was pretty sure one of my spots would be firing today so Buster got the early call to be at my place 10 minutes ago. On the way there I checked a well known spot that had no one out, unbelievable for a Saturday, it was glassed off and lining up so I told Buster we would hop in for a few waves and when crew turned up we would head to the other spot. We hit it hard to get as many waves as possible before it got crowded. Three and a half hours later we were shattered but fully stoked, no one else turned up.

The photos don't do it justice, I only took a couple as I didn't want to miss any sets.

Nah mate just a bit further north ;) Solid day in the water then a Yelo coffee (ofcourse) and couldn't help have another go at Leighton on the way home, even though it was subpar. Then beers at SALT, then the lefty....then back to Leighton at night for beers on the beach and a night swim....and then I woke up there. Hectic

Massive drop in the swell...

Took the fat fish, but ended up on the mal catching a bag full of waist high peelers at a northern beachie. Shape and length of ride OK considering - 5.5/10
