Is that they shaper who adverises on gumtree for 400 for a newy mocha? How's the quality ? (They look nice)
Yeah, PERKO. (Peter Perkovic) goes really well. Build is a little rough, only the paint, he had trouble with the two pac epoxy, a little orange peel but hey $400 delivered custom I've got a 6'6 Indo (Fred Rubble copy) is a beauty too much better quality in super white - PU blank super clear epoxy resin
his son is a spono and rode his boards, he also makes boards for same sort of deal - Sabretooth Surfboards
Anywhere. It's no secret that I love windy and choppy storm waves. Keeps it interesting and keeps the majority of kooks away. I'll probably just surf my local.
Yep, thanks Rod. Downloaded and now there are sharks everywhere.
I find it cant hurt to be educated.. I do think many of the public sightings are ridiculous. A 4 mtr shark is a big mother f--ker and would look more like a whale. You sometimes have to wonder if the locals are using the reports to keep the beaches quiet..
No banks scooby. This winter's trying hard to be as bad as last. I'll be curious to see but I'm not holding out high hopes. Everywhere I look metro's straight as a die or no sand at all. Combined with backwash means we need big storms and fast but not with any S in them, something N and that's not happening.
How unusual that the forecast drops and drops each day. 5m, 4m, 3m, now ~2.5m. Wind down from 35kt to ~20kt.

Yep. There goes any hope of a decent thrashing this weekend
Few guys out at Mettams this morning. Surprised the coast isn't busier. Seen far more people grovel for far less.

Brrr...it's cold
Coldest water we've had in years I reckon. Sat on my board for 10+ mins waiting for a wave yesterday and by the time I got one all my digits were numb, despite wearing a 3/2.
Jesus christ suba, you need to buy a steamer. No wonder you didn't last long.
Mate, I was ****ing frozen! Too cold to even think straight let alone catch a wave properly.
I need to buy a full dry suit for work so after I grab that I'll be buying a 3/2 and some chemical hand warmers. All my dive gear was stolen, including all my wetties, except for the 2mm short sleeve which is always in my car.
A lot of north in the swell this morning. Had no plans to look today but watching the swell direction from my kitchen has convinced me it's worth a look around.
More north in the wind Suba bugger all swell........although with just a little click on the swell bouy thingo......that is changing rapidly
I been away workin and no waves for 4 weeks was going to go today but maaaaaan it's way colder than the pilbarra/china....actually been in Perth all week but no joy,,,,,,went for a swim at scarborough bout 4 days ago just to feel the ocean, 2 minutes,,,,,,,,frozen,,,, dunno it's not like I'm not looking for waves I just am not getting any
Man that was a pretty good arvo
thanks Suba, I poo pooed ya call pfffft swell pfffft going for a look pfffft
BUT
I REMEMBERS a bit of north in the swell hmmmmm have a look anyway
trigg point v2 was great fun 50-75m runners 1-2ft loads of fun on my PERKO potato but would've been just as good on my SCUD
Nothin like a beer on the run home, footy on the wireless, warm inner glow from pretty good waves..........
thanks Suba it was heaps better than Foxtel Tiger Tank show
I think I was hypothermic getting out of the water today. Lower body siezed and I could barely walk home.
Was the only one out at my local around midday and got few and wore a few. New board sets the rails like it was made for me (it wasnt). Good day to have off work.
yep Trigg dunnies was super fun, best local surf in ages. gotta love the north, long rights. yew still stoked.
cold but, had to come in cos of frozen fingers n toes.
perhaps today will be same but kite driven...
Bit of fun after work in Bunno this arv, overhead punchy lefts and a few right hand runners. Prob only 14'c but the constant paddling against the drift kept the body temp up.
