Had a few fun waves last weekend but nothing worth taking any pictures of, but it was one of the best weekends ever with some of Australia's best 90's (& till present) Rock'nRoll bands. Unfortunately I didn't know beforehand but we were staying right next door to the epic Magic Dirt. I've got 2 posters on my mancave wall, one is a poster of Nirvana from the first release of Inutero & the other is from Magic Dirts - Life was Better LP that I would of asked them to sign. Nonetheless it was pretty bloody special downing a few pre show beers watching them rehearse right outside our room. Here's a few pics out of the almost 1000 shots I took last Saturday at "Hotter than Hell" Dunsborough...cheers

Janet on drums, Kram up front for a change
Magic Dirt, Jebs & Spiderbait all up for some vocals
The end of of a very special day...fully stoked
My thousands of mates in a previous life. Every wave is party wave. And this was 20 years ago, crowds have doubled.
But search and ye shall find.
Popped into Perth for the Bandlands City Limits gig last Saturday. I really enjoyed the one they had last year & they put on another great show. I like how they have a band play outside, then inside, then outside etc etc, the place is really well layed out for live music & they have chosen some great bands to play so far. Looking forward to seeing who plays there next year & for some decent waves so I can post some surf pix in this thread haha But that's the best thing about summer for me, good music played on outdoor stages
Some Good Doogs playing some good music!
Abbey May, wow
Custard still got it!
Beer can slide geetah
I like the old stuff better than the new stuff, Regurgitator
This place has good music all year round, close to the train station. We're lucky to still have venues like this
Been a good day, winds whipping up some swell, ordered a new board, gave a board to the neighbours kid and took a few pics of a local bloke I know ripping it up on his kite. First time I've used this Panasonic micro 4 thirds 300mm (600mm full frame equivilent) lense I bought last year. Lens very dusty, I rushed home & back after I saw him carving it up & didn't have anything to clean it. Pics came out ok hand held at full zoom
Planned a bit of a getaway a few weeks ago but unfortunately surgery on a malanoma on my back kept me outta the water. Still had a lot of fun taking some pics & some coastal walks with the missus. Pics are from mid day Tuesday with an 18kn S & Wed with a 8kn SW. I went for a bit of a walk Tuesday & was surprised a trail had been turned into a bush regen area, so the place I initially wanted to take pics has now become a paddle round the cliffs to access. Judging by the waves wrapping the rocks another place would have been smok'n but the intermittent rain made me choose the place between to take a few pics before heading back to accommodation via Church View winery for some Vlognier & Marsanne bottles of wine. Then the Cheese factory for some good old vintage cheddar
Next day we popped into a bay to take some pics, then House of Cards for a bottle of Rose & sparkling. Had a few beers at Caves Road Collective & lunch before taking a few pics at another bay. Got the missus to drive, so I could indulge for a change haha overall a good trip.
Hope yuz enjoy the pics & don't forget your skin checks people, you wanna catch the bastards early...cheers
Some good frames there Mick just thinking so many waves in the West are not that easy.
Hope you have a speedy recovery, scary stuff skin cancer how big is the incision?
Good pics mick, spewin ya couldn't get in the water hope ya healing ok and will be out there soon mate.
couple of me favourite waves in those frames, the local lads down there are honestly next level.
Ive surfed around oz /international and honestly the highest level of surfing I've seen is always by middle aged men in massive southern waves.
Some good places in those pics to sit in the peanut gallery and watch real men surf real waves
Cheers boys, I'll be back in the water next Sun/Mon. Fang'n to wax up my new 5'10 Hypto Rip.
West Oz has some challenging waves for sure & I reckon thats a good thing. The reefs, sharks & cold keep the numbers from getting crazy busy like some places...well most of the time through winter anyway haha & its bred some of the best surfers in the world. The standard of groms these days is mental & moves seen to be world class a couple of decades ago are now being performed by local young blokes down at your local. I'm always nice to them so they will hopefully let me have a few waves in the years to come
I'll leave yuz with a pic of my Dr's cool stitchwork, missus reckons I'm gonna have a Harry Potter scar lol
About 90x70x8 mm
A mate of mine (65 year old) has had 50 to 100 various skin cancers cut out (has a check every 6 months always has some thing copped out) and hasn't a wrinkle any where on his face or body looks 20 years younger
lol @ reduction in wrinkles...guessing at least 99% would be solar keratosis I hope....having flash backs of a certain song & the difference of taught/taut between the last 2 replys
Yeah mostly Basal cell and a couple of squamous cell no melanoma, Scottish heritage and never wore a shirt until he was 13 grew up in far north Queensland and did surf life saving say no more.

Had the same taken outta me a couple of months back. No pics though. Not as many stitches as yours, I only got 9 but he went real deep.
Results came back 4 Emily faces and 4 sad faces. At least that's how he explained that half where cancer and the other half where not.
So I'm on the 3 month check cycle.
Hope yours came in good.
Will be discontinuing old domain names to focus on just one with sub domains. Setting up a new server & bailing wordpress limitations. Will post up a link with new pics/vids when sorted...cheers
Clicking on my links won't show pic slideshows due to this change.
I was down south a couple of weeks ago on holiday.
Some photos I took while in Margaret River.
