There is a gent in Germany going by the call sign of Fredstyles who has been building my board designs for quite a number of years, probably built 4 or 5 of them. I gave him my latest CAD for a freewave board which is new version of my Atomicsurf Fusion which he is about to finish for himself and having done such an amazing job I jokingly said to him...."that's awesome, you should build me one" He said he would love to .....so its happening.
Below the carbon board is the one he has built for himself, I believe there is still a layer ST Carbon to go on. Its a 90 litre freewave...my new version of the Fusion 60 based on the leanings from my Masterblaster boards. The foam is my board which is a slightly tweaked version of the same. I will do an S glass bottom.
If you want I will post photos as he sends them to me. It's an after-hours labour of love for him so could take a while.
expensive down pipe ?
whats going on in the third photo - did that machine shape the blank or just rocker and thickness ?
what foam did you use and typical lay up ?
Hot wired ready for machining. Core 14kg/m3 EPS.......I am not at liberty to elaborate on Fred's layup, sorry.
It will look like this. Rider.... sorry but the layup is not mine to share the full details but its an eGlass and carbon deck with an eGlass and sGlass bottom with carbon reinforcements and stringer..
230X60X90.5 liters. V Double concave right through with narrow V side flats. Similar to the Masterblaster bottom shape but this has spriral V in the tail. 5mm tail rocker, 195 nose rocker.
Mark......Can you read an Iges file??
14 threads and nobody has pulled me up on the grammar error in the thread title...not good enough!!!
Whats wrong with it ?
No gap between many and question marks ?
Ahh , its the comma ! Or there lack of .
Or , possibly the three question marks , i just thought you really , really , really wanted to know .
Just wondering what is more important ,
A , ???
or
B , ? !
Important??? Theres only ONE THING that matters. TIME ON WATER. Oh, n a cool new board build thread.

I really like the outline, nice looking shape. In these pics the tail looks wider than the first pic early on in the thread.
Thanks Rider...Just picked up a mistake, somehow I chopped 8mm off the back of the board so the tail is now 5mm wider it was meant to be the same. Mmmm thats what happens when you design things at midnight. Not to worry i will just move the straps and fin boxes back 8mm relative to the tail. Image shows the tail comparison with the new one shifted back 8mm so they line up ..in reality it is 8mm further forward.
So it ends up 229.2 long now and has 0.2mm less tail rocker....think I can live with that.
Mark yes 12.5mm rail tuck.

"Grammar" is a noun. The word you are after is "grammatical".

A thread is a SUBJECT. Yours being the 1 to/too/2 many threads.
The number 14 should apply to the number of responses , commonly referred to as POSTs.
Cap use intended for clearity not rudeness. Most dont care about grammar .
keep up the posts
OK well in the absence of build photos here are some screen dumps of my incredibly messy working file. As I discovered I screwed the tail up slightly but it will be fine. Not sure what you would call the shape "deformed fish tail" ? The sliced off thing is something Starboard did way, way back and Peter Nitschke did on a board a while ago. Easy to model and build, main reason I have done my version of it on the Fusion boards.
So its 229X60X90.5 liters, V double concave with side flats ( the chrome shader is wildly exaggerating the concave.) Just on 5 mm tail rocker, 195 nose rocker and reasonably fast overall rocker line. Nothing ground breaking here, a fairly simple no nonsense design. I leave the edges of the concaves sharp for the machining as they soften off when the bottom is vacuumed down.
Should be a really fun board.
